"Yallah! Get up, Noor!" Amannah shouted, pulling my covers from over my head.
"What's the occasion?" I replied, pulling them back.
"Your future husband's family is coming over, girl." Neha called out, pulling the curtains.
Oh right.
It almost felt too surreal as of yesterday.
"He can wait!" I shouted, feeling like I was going to go on a rampage to fall asleep again.
Amannah and Neha both laughed in response and quite literally, dragged me out of bed.
"Go freshen up, Noor. It's nearly 12 and Khala's been making the food since 7." Neha said, pushing me to the door.
I shook my head whilst I realised that I didn't even know what I was going to wear yet.
"Guys I don't know what to wear!" I called out, turning back to face them.
"Don't worry about that, we'll figure it out when you come back." Amannah replied, smiling.
I nodded and went to go brush my teeth and make wudhu.
"They're coming at 6 right?" I asked Samir.
"Yep, I'm going to go get ready right now. Then I'll go get the mishti and mangos." He replied, nodding.
"Get the Pakistani ones. They're the best ones." I said, hearing my brother laugh as I went back to my bedroom.
"Alright, you need to pick what you're going to wear sis." Neha said, already dressed.
She looked absolutely adorable with her abaya and matching beige khimar.
"Aww Allahumma'Barik you look so cute, Neha." I said with a smile.
"Jazahkhallah but now you have to think about what you want to wear." She giggled.
"Yes, mum I'm doing that now." I replied, sarcastically.
Looking to my wardrobe I inspected all my options as Neha chose the sage abaya and matching hijab.

"Gorgeous." Amannah said after she had finished applying my makeup, which wasn't really much.
"Stop affa." I replied, laughing.
"No, my daughter really is Ma'Sha'Allah." Amma said, smiling.
I smiled back as my mum held me tight. Like really tight.
She nearly lost me twice but still Allah was the most merciful and let her see this day where Khalil came to ask for my hand.
Alhamdulilah, I thought to myself.
"Guys, Khalil's family has come." Neha called out, looking from the balcony.
"Everyone?" Amannah asked.
