"Do you want me to get some for you?"
Is the only thing Khalil asked before Hala jumped from the sofa for the car.
I was going to say no and go back home with Neha but Hala dragged me with her, that donkey.
Now I look like a fatty, searching for ice-cream. UGHH!
"Why do you have that look on your face?" Hala asks me.
"What look?" I question back, my brows furrowing.
"The look like you're gonna kill me." Hala replies nervously.
MAYBE BECAUSE YOU DRAGGED ME TO THE SHOP WITH YOU AND YOUR BROTHER, I think to myself.
"What are you talking about Hala I'm not gonna kill you...yet." I whisper to her.
"Are we gonna go Tesco's or Asda?" Elias asks Khalil, from the passenger seat.
Elias and Haadi both came with us, as they were also craving ice-cream I see.
Hala sits in between me and Haadi, while Khalil drives.
"Neither, let's go to an actual dessert place." Khalil responds quietly.
I think over the past hour he's only spoken 2 sentences.
Khalil being closed off isn't really a big deal.
Over the few weeks I've known him he's always been the quieter one of the group.
Wait.
Why am I thinking of him?
I'm overthinking this. I shouldn't even be thinking about this at all.
"Let's go to creams!" Hala interjects.
"Yess I'm craving cookie dough right now." Elias replies, with a smile.
"I thought we're getting ice-cream?" Haadi asks.
"I can get ice-cream with my cookie dough Haadi." Elias responds, turning around to Haadi with a grin.
15 minutes later, we arrive at creams and Elias and Hala are already jumping out the car for the door.
Damn they both are really alike, I think to myself climbing out the car.
"You fatties wait for me!" Haadi calls, speed walking after them.
I quickly close the car door to catch up to them and realise Khalil is waiting for me to go.
I walk around the car for the entrance, Khalil following behind me.
Wait I feel like I'm forgetting something.
Crap my phone!
"What happened?" Khalil asks, stepping beside me.
"Umm I forgot my phone in the car." I reply, tilting my head to his.
"Oh alright." Khalil says, before walking back to the car.
