Hers~>

1 week later

"Get up!" I hear my brother scream.

"Samir! I need my sleep!" I shot back, getting one of my pillows and throwing it at him.

"Noori, it's your mendhi day you rat. Do you really wanna be bridezilla?" He asks, pulling the blanket off of me.

"Alright, 5 more minutes though." I murmur.

"Nope." He says.

"Yes." I respond.

"You asked for this!" He shouts as I feel a cold wash drop all over me.

Was he being for real?

"SAMIR!" I scream, running out of my bed and towards him.

"Yallah! Where's Amma?" He yelps, sprinting out of the room.

"I'm gonna kill you!" I call out, running downstairs.

"Amma! Abba, she's gonna kill me!" Samir screams while stopping in the living room and hiding behind my dad.

"Yallah, what happened?" Abba laughs, turning to me.

"Your darling son soaked me while I was sleeping!" I say, trying to drag my brother from behind him.

"Dhur halar hala!" Amma shouts, getting up from drinking her saa.

"Amma come on we have to make it fun before she leaves." Samir laughs, still using my dad as a barrier.

"Taba marya dat falai lai mu!" Abba shouts, turning around and pushing Samir towards me.

"Yallah!" He screams.

"Quickly!" Abba laughs, passing me the jug of water.

I quickly take the water and drag Samir to the garden. To my surprise I was actually kind of stronger than him even though I was shorter.

Okay... maybe it was because my dad was pushing him out but that's besides the point.

As soon as we're outdoors I pour all the water on him and the guy starts screaming as if he got tased.

"I thought I was bad." I laugh.

"What's going on?" Neha asks, curiously.

"My dear brother here poured water on me on my bed so we had to get him back!" I reply, smiling at my dad.

"Yes we did." Abba says, offering me a high five.

"Alright that's enough, I need a shower now." Samir sighs, grabbing a towel from the stand.

"Uncle can you cut me some mango please?" Neha asks, sitting on the chair.

"Sure Neha, how many today?" He replies, grabbing the chopping board.

"1?" She responds.

"Hmm, and for the baby?" Abba grins.

"3?" Neha murmurs, making everyone laugh in response.

"Okay while you guys do that I'm going to need you to try your dress again." Amma says, looking at me.

"Why?" I ask as my dad puts a mango piece in my mouth.

"Last minute alterations." She replies, walking upstairs.

"But it's the day of the mendhi, amma?" I say, furrowing my brows.

"Fine, do you want your dress to be too big for you?" Amma asks, sarcastically.

Upon hearing that I run upstairs behind her.
