Hers~>

Who was there when you were at your lowest?

To be honest, I'm not really sure.

I know I have people, but when I'm smiling in front of them, do they really know how I'm feeling, deep down?

"Noor wake up, your highness, Amma and Amannah are coming back today." Samir called out, interrupting my thoughts.

My mum and older sister, Amannah were in Bangladesh prior to my accident, shopping for Amannah's wedding. Something went wrong with my mum's passport, which is why they couldn't be with me.

But I felt quite relieved, I can't lie.

I didn't want to meet more people that I couldn't remember. I didn't want to have that awkward first interaction with them. I just, I didn't wanna remember how that felt. Especially to the person who birthed me, but was a stranger in my eyes.

"Umm, 10 more minutes bhaiya (brother)." I murmur, burying my face back in the duvet.

"Noor cmon, I know you might be feeling a bit nervous but honestly don't stress." He reassures me, before sitting on the bed.

"What are you talking about?... I don't feel nervous." I quietly say, pulling the covers up to hide my face.

"Sure, sure whatever you say. But me and Ammanah both always knew you were and are Amma and Abba's favourite, by the way." Samir admits, before setting a glass of water and meds on my nightstand.

I was their favourite? Really?

"Are you just saying that to get me out of bed?" I ask, reluctantly pulling the duvet down.

"No lazy, you are. Anyways, everyone already knows the youngest are the favourite. They're the babies." Samir jokingly says.

"Mmhmm, whatever you say." I respond, aiming a pillow at his head.

"Hey! Noor you rat!" He shouts, ducking from the pillow.

"Gotta go! You know, since I'm meeting my mum and sister that I don't remember, for the first time!" I shot back, pushing Samir to the bed, before rushing to the bathroom.

"I'll get you back! And be quick in there, me and Abba are gonna go to Jummah prayer." Samir replies.

"Wait am I not going with you?" I ask, not really wanting to be alone.

"You never used to go before the accident, I didn't really think to ask. But you're welcome to come if you want Noor." He replies.

I never went to Jummah prayer? Why? I wonder to myself.

"Umm... yeah I think I'll come with you guys." I reply back.

"Great have a shower then, a quick one may I add. And we'll go in half an hour." He  says.

"Alright I'll be out in 10 minutes then bhaiya." I respond, getting my toothbrush out the holder.

"Make it 8!" Samir shouts back.

Girl.

Does he think I'm the flash?

"Mmhmm" I say, rolling my eyes.

Exactly 10 minutes later, I'm out and am picking which abaya I should wear. Im debating between an ash grey abaya and a cream one.
