After staying awake for the whole night ,finally at the wee hours when it was still dark outside,he got up and drove into the roads. His heart was beating fast as he stepped out of his car and bought few Pregnancy test kits, the probabilities of their child growing inside the love of his life had filled his entire being with a unknown nervousness. He had no idea what would be his reaction if the result was positive, some part of him was bubbling with excitement but fear was suppressing it. He had recently celebrated his 35th birthday so he felt that he was almost late for parenthood as most of his friends had already became parents and Shehnaaz too was going to be 24 soon, so it was not too early for her as well.
Biologically they were not really too young to have a baby but their situation was not at all favorable.

He took a deep breath as he made his way back home, his hands trembled slightly as he picked up the pregnancy testing kits from the car dashboard and stepped inside the house and crept up the stairs, his footsteps were light on the marble steps. He paused at the door of their bedroom, his heart shuddered loudly.He opened the door and peered inside, saw her still fast asleep in the bed.

"Shehnaaz,get up baby"he went closer and gently shook her shoulder,she was in deep sleep.

"Baby,utha ja please" he said again.

"What?" She mumbled in her sleep.

"baby, I think it's time to take the pregnancy test,please uth ja." He gently nudged her awake and said softly.

"Can I sleep for some more time?"
She groaned and rolled over, burying her face in her pillow.

"Take the test then sleep again,atleast pata toh chale." he insisted.

"Not now" she uttered.

"1 hours baad uthaun?" He asked.He knew she was scared, too.

"I don't know,let me sleep...aap bhi so jao" she said and pulled the comforter over her head. He sat down on the edge of the bed and waited,staring at the pregnancy testing kit in his hands. .

"Yahin baithe ho?"She slowly woke up after almost 20 minutes.

"Kal kar sakte hain kya?" She asked sleepily.

"Nahin abhi....please get up" he requested.

Once she was fully awake, he asked her again, "Do you want to take the test now,karein ab?"

"Let's go,let's get the kit"She nodded and got out of bed.

"Shehnaaz main la chuka hoon,go and test" he said and she moved toward the washroom,he following her.

"Kab gaye?"She asked

"Thodi der pehel ,Yeah le"He handed her the small box, and she opened it.After reading the instructions, she took a deep breath,went towards the washroom,he kept following.

"Stay here,let me take the test" she said.

"Are you sure,tu kar paegi,let me also come na." he requested.

"Sidharth... there is no rocket science in this ,please be here." she said, got inside the washroom and followed the instructions.Her hands trembled as she held the kit and waited.

"Shehnaaz,main aa jaun? " he knocked the door and asked after a minute,she let him in.

"Kar Lia?" He asked as he entered the room, she tried to cover her emotions and nodded.

"Give it to me" Sidharth took the kit in his hand,they stood in silence.

"Sahi se ki hai?" He asked,their eyes were glued to the pregnancy test kit which was in the palm of his hand.
