Chapter 42: Keeping it lowkey

"Hmmm..." nagising si Regina sa alarm ng phone n'ya.

"9 am na pala." Painot-inot s'yang bumangon at kaagad na hinanap ng mata si Narda. "Love? Narda?"

Hinanap n'ya ito sa banyo pero wala naman ito. Nagkibit-balikat na lang s'ya at naligo. Hoping na pagkatapos n'ya ay nakabalik na rin ito.

"Good morning, pretty." Nakangiting mukha ni Narda ang nabungaran n'ya paglabas n'ya ng banyo.

"Saan ka galing?" Takang-tanong n'ya.

"In my room. Sa kabilang kwarto lang ako galing."

Natuwa s'ya sa narinig. "For real? Tinotoo mo ang sinabi mong lilipat ka ng hotel for you to be closer to me?"

"Yeah. Look at me. I don't wear any of your clothes, right? That means I have brought my whole wardrobe with me. I didn't even use your shower or your toilet if you noticed."

Halatang bagong paligo nga ito dahil sa medyo basa pa nitong buhok. Lalong lumapad lang ngiti n'ya ng mapansin ang ayos nito. She look so hot with her white tank top under her maong jacket. Black tight pants and black boots. Simple get up but Narda looks so adorable in it.

"So damn hot for a company boss. I'll never wonder why ang daming chicks all around you." She commented as she searched for something to wear from inside her closet. She heard her chuckle but she never said a word.

She choose one simple white dress and a 3-inches stilleto for her feet.

Tahimik lang itong nakamasid habang nagbibihis s'ya at inaayusan ang sarili sa salamin. 

"How do I look?" Tanong n'ya dito as she turn around in front of her.

Inayos nito ang nakalitaw na bahagi ng strap ng bra n'ya at tinitigan s'ya from head to toe.

"Pretty. As always. I'm so lucky to have you as my girlfriend, Regina." She kiss her cheek. "Let's go?" Inilahad nito ang kamay n'ya na kaagad naman n'yang tinanggap.

"Oh wait! I forgot something." Bumitaw muna s'ya dito at kinuha ang isa pa n'yang bag sa loob ng dala n'yang maleta.

She searched for something in her bag and she smile as she get a hold of it.

"Thank G, I still have it. Can you put this on me, love?"

Inilagay n'ya sa kamay nito ang isang silver watch.

Tinitigan s'ya nito in disbelief. "You still have this watch? Itinago mo talaga 'to?"

"Yeah. I kept it. Una mong regalo sa akin 'yan, remember?"

Narda inspected the watch at bigla itong sumimangot ng mapansing hindi na umaandar ang relo.

"Nasira na yata s'ya. It already stopped ticking. I'll buy you another one nalang."

"Hmmm. Hindi sira 'yan. Pinatay ko 'yan simula ng iwan mo ako. Just so you know, my heart stop beating when you left me. Every passing minute had been useless since you've left my side. Now that you're here, maybe I can start living and loving again. I'm letting you restart that watch as we start over again. We will, right?"

Narda looked at the watch closely. "Hmmm...  Kapag gumana ito, then sa tingin ko, now is the right time for us to start our real love story. We're fighting for it if destiny permits."

Inilagay ni Narda sa tamang oras ang kamay ng orasan saka pinindot ang button para gumana ulit ito. It started ticking and they both feel relieved.

"Yes, we will,  love. Definitely. Tadhana is on our side this time." Nakangiting isinuot nito sa kanya ang relo. "Really fits you well, love. It's only made just for you."
