682.Dying Wish

The three of them sat right outside the Elder's hospital room.

Inside the room, Jeon Hong glanced at his unconscious father. "It seems like Father won't wake up until tomorrow and Jungkook's wedding is tomorrow..."

Ye Yunzhi was also put on the spot. "We've already notified all the guests. It wouldn't be good if we suddenly cancelled the wedding..."

"But Father's illness..." Jeon Hong frowned heavily. He then glanced at Jungkook. "Jungkook, what do you think about this?"

The hospital room door was left slightly ajar. Nancy stood closely to the door in the hallway and appeared as though she was using her phone. In truth, however, she was listening to their conversation.

She thought internally: The Elder is on his deathbed. The Jeon family will most likely cancel the wedding.

To her surprise, Jungkook spoke firmly. "The wedding will be held nonetheless!"

"Alright." Jeon Hong actually agreed immediately.

Nancy was immediately angered to the point where her heart was hurting. Ever since Hao Changsheng failed to kill Grandfather Jeon, the Jeon family became especially cautious when it came to protecting him. There was absolutely no way for her to carry out any scheme.

She had considered countless plots before she finally managed to trigger the Elder's heart attack.

She did not expect the Jeon family to be this heartless. They were actually insisting on carrying out the wedding regardless of the Elder's condition.

Lisa's voice could then be heard. "Jungkook, Grandfather is so seriously ill. Is it a good idea to still hold a wedding right now?"

Nancy resisted the urge to tear off Lisa's lips. She was certain that Lisa was beyond excited for the wedding and was putting up a weak protest for the sake of it.

"There's nothing wrong with it!" Jungkook responded seriously. "If we cancel the wedding for Grandfather, he will feel guilty when he wakes up."

Huang Zhishu knocked against the hospital room door and entered. "Jungkook..." She bowed lightly towards Jeon Hong and Ye Yunzhi. "Younger Brother-in-law, Younger Sister-in-law, I'm also the Jeon Family's daughter-in-law. There's something I feel I must say. Is that alright?"

Jeon Hong's expression was cold. "Speak."

"Earlier, the doctor informed us that the Elder is in a critical state." A hint of hesitation flashed past Huang Zhishu's face. "If Jungkook hold his wedding tomorrow and Father... if he passes away, wouldn't it be..."

"You rotten mouth!" Huang Zhishu scolded. "Sister-in-law, do you hope for Father to pass away that much?"

"That's not what I meant." She rushed to explain.

"It's clear to me that you don't wish for Jungkook to hold his wedding." Ye Yunzhi's expression was stern. "Why do you have such an unkind heart?"

Huang Zhishu explained hastily. "I'm saying this for Lisa's sake."

Lisa pointed at herself in disbelief. "How is this related to me again?"

"Think about it, Lisa." Huang Zhishu spoke clearly. "If the Elder passes away tomorrow, and the Jeon family insists on holding a wedding, everyone will say that it was the newly married daughter-in-law that cursed the Elder to death. You would then be wrongly blamed for cursing your relatives..."

"Shut up!" Jungkook raised his voice. "To think that an outsider dares to run her mouth off here. She is my woman. Who dares to say that about her!"

Huang Zhishu refused to give up. "Jungkook, my words may not be pleasant to hear, but it's the truth."

"Scram!" Jungkook's gaze was filled with murderous intent.

Huang Zhishu was certain that if looks could kill, she would already have died several thousand times by now.

She immediately rushed out of the hospital room in fright.

However, she still felt that it was necessary for her to speak earlier.

Jungkook frowned as he glanced lightly at his parents. "If Grandfather truly passes away tomorrow, I will announce that it was his dying wish for us to hold the wedding as per normal."
