Nancy also wished she could act spoiled in front of Jeon Chongshan. She wasn't sure why, but despite having lived in the Jeon family with her mother and elder brother for more than two years, this damned old man was not the slightest bit close to them.
Was it really because they did not share the Jeon family's bloodline?
After their meal, Nancy immediately attacked Lisa. "Grandfather, did you know? Miss Lee spent eight hundred thousand dollars to purchase a haunted apartment located in Mian Lan North District. Quite a lot of people have died in that apartment..."
She then explained the history of the apartment before saying, "I never expected Miss Lee to use the red packets she had received from the elders to purchase a haunted apartment."
Jeon Chongshan raised his eyebrows at her words. He turned towards Lisa. "Little girl, you really bought a haunted apartment?"
Lisa was rather moved by the way Grandfather Jeon affectionately addressed her as 'Little girl'. "En."
Jeon Chongshan appeared unmoved by this knowledge. Nancy did not expect him to be indifferent. Still, she stubbornly continued. "The red packets and a bloody apartment are both red. I wonder if the two conflicting reds will bring about misfortune. Is Lisa trying to ruin the Jeon family's luck?"
"What nonsense are you spouting!" Jeon Chongshan raised his voice sternly. "Lalisa isn't someone like that."
Lisa raised her brows. "Nancy, did you go insane just because you failed to perform better than me and couldn't enter the Sheng Shi Group? You sure dare to run your mouth as you please. I am Madam Jeon. The better the Jeon family's luck, the better my life will be. How could I possibly ruin the Jeon family's luck?"
"Are you really Madam Jeon? You haven't even stepped into the family yet you dare to apply gold to your own face..." Nancy wanted to continue.
Jeon Chongshan cut her off. "Apologise to your cousin-in-law right now! Otherwise, you can scram out of the Jeon family immediately."
"But..." Nancy's eyes reddened as spoke in grievance. "I wouldn't have spoken this honestly if it wasn't for the Jeon family's good. You..."
"Apologise!" Elder Jeon Chongshan's wrinkled face was especially stern.
"Miss Lee, I'm sorry..." Nancy was clearly unwilling.
Elder Jeon was a rather superstitious man. Nancy knew that Jungkook would definitely stand on Lisa's side. Thus, she intentionally took the opportunity while he was away to say these words so as to create a rift between Elder Jeon and Lisa.
Who would have thought that she only ended up throwing her own face away.
Lisa had bought a total of ten, cheap apartments from Mian Lan North District today. After travelling back and forth, she was exhausted. She could not be bothered to respond to Nancy and headed back to her room to rest.
Elder Jeon also went to his study.
Nancy and her family usually only visited the Jeon family's main mansion building for meals. They lived in a smaller building named, 'Jing Xin Residence', right behind the main building.
The three of them returned to Jing Xin Residence.
The moment Nancy stepped into the living room, she cursed in a low voice. "The old things in the Jeon family are all biased ghosts. He actually didn't care if the Jeon family's luck would be affected!"
"I think it isn't that Elder Jeon doesn't care about it. It's just that nothing bad has happened to the Jeon family yet for him to take this matter seriously." Mingyu smiled viciously. "You say, if something does happen to the Jeon family, won't Lisa be in for a serious treat?"
"Brother, I was thinking the exact same thing." Nancy smiled darkly.
Mingyu sat down on the couch and rubbed his chin. "I was just wondering why my normally capable sister put on such a show today. It turns out that you were setting the stage for your future schemes. Don't ruin Lisa, though. Just put some distance between her and the Jeon family's old people. Have you forgotten that she is my prey?"
"If only you were as capable as your sister." Huang Zhishu poured herself a cup of tea and criticised. "Lalisa used to like you a lot. She was already yours at the time."
