When Jingyuan heard this, his expression turned guilty. "If only I knew this earlier. I shouldn't have stopped you from being with Lee Lilan. If I hadn't, perhaps your family wouldn't have suffered so much."

Marco shook his head. "Father, you had your own position to consider at the time. I was the one in the wrong. I clearly knew that you preferred to have a daughter-in-law who was of equal standing with our family, yet my heart fell for Lilan. Everyone has their own fate. No one can predict what will happen in the future."

"My son, you've really grown up. You're really mature now." Jingyuan did not expect his son to not blame him and immediately began to tear up.

"Father, I've not only grown up. I've also grown old." Marco smiled bitterly. He was in his fifties now.

"In the eyes of your father, you will always be a child." Jingyuan's gaze was filled with love as he watched his son.

Sometime later, Lisa and Jingyuan accompanied Marco to visit a graveyard in the suburbs.

Marco remained before Lee Lilan's gravestone for an entire afternoon. He was silent, his eyes filled with despair. He appeared as though he had nothing more to live for.

Lisa and Jingyuan remained by his side in worry.

"Initially, I thought that once I recovered and learned to walk again, I would go and look for you." Marco murmured.

Lisa was frightened by his words. "Dad, you promised me that you won't leave us."

"I previously thought your mother was missing, and wanted to go looking for her." He sighed as he touched his wife's gravestone. "Lilan, in this lifetime, I've let my father down. I've also let you and our children down. I can't come to you immediately, but don't worry. I won't marry anyone else. I'll watch our children carefully and love them properly in your stead."

"Dad..." Lisa was deeply moved as she approached Marco.

The three of them only returned to the Brushweiler family's villa when it became dark.

For the past few days, Lisa had been accompanying her father and grandfather in the Brushweiler family villa. Even Jungkook was temporarily staying in the Brushweiler home with her.

People were taken aback by Lisa's status as the Brushweiler family's only granddaughter.

Although the Brushweiler Group was second to the Jeon family's power, Lisa was not only the Brushweiler family's successor but was also the director of the Jiao Yang Finance Group.

Her marriage to Jungkook was initially believed to have mismatched statuses of the spouses. In an instant, however, their marriage became that of equals and was celebrated by the world.

Several days later, Lisa headed to the Guo Mao Building to shop. As her chauffeur, Soobin, was ill, Suho stepped forward and volunteered to drive her.

A BMW SUV then drove out of the Brushweiler family's backyard.

Suho was focused on driving.

Lisa wore a large, pink bucket hat that was in trend these days. From the backseat, she glanced at Suho who was working both as a bodyguard and a chauffeur.

Back then, he had been bribed by her second sister, Lee Eunha. This person remained by their side despite not being heavily valued. She had guarded against him for more than two years.

Someone who had been bribed once would most definitely succumb to his desire again. He finally could not endure any longer and was making a move!

The car was just about five hundred metres away from the Brushweiler family's villa when Lisa suddenly said, "Park the car by the side. Go to the nearby convenience store and purchase a packet of wet wipes for me."

"I understand." Suho did not suspect anything. He immediately alighted the car and did as she said.

After he returned from his trip, he tugged open the backseat's door to hand the wet wipes to her.

Her bucket hat was pulled downwards and he could not see her face clearly.

As he had clearly watched Lisa board the car earlier, he did not suspect anything.

Suho returned to his seat and continued driving. He brought out a lighter and lit a cigarette.

As a chauffeur, he was not allowed to smoke while driving. However, this did not stop him. At most, he would toss the cigarette away after she reprimanded him.
