Her stunning features were especially serious. Her gaze conveyed her strong resolve and her deep love for him.
He understood that she truly could not lose him!
She was not joking.
If he died, she would seriously give up on living.
His heart was deeply moved and nodded subconsciously.
However, his body was really enveloped in pain. He could barely move them through the pain and numbness.
His gunshot wound was also bleeding relentlessly. His life was quickly seeping out of him.
The first aid kit was top grade plastic and could float against the water. Lisa was about to open it when her goosebumps rose with the sensation of imminent danger.
She scanned the quiet, boundless sea but did not discover anything.
Jungkook also had keen senses. He similarly felt the impending threat. He said heavily, "Something's coming!"
"En." Lisa responded.
She was dressed in a bodyguard's suit. As the outfit was tailored, it fit her well.
Still, her jacket was a burden to her right now.
She brought out a handkerchief out from her pocket and quickly rolled it up into a ball. She quickly opened Jungkook's suit jacket and dress shirt to press it against his gunshot wound. Fastening his clothes back, she tugged his palm over, urging him to press on his wound. "Press against it first, even if it's to slow the bleeding by a little. I'll dive in the water and check the situation out."
He followed her instructions and pressed the handkerchief against his wound.
The bleeding finally slowed down.
Lisa took a deep breath and dived underwater. She swam a circle around him.
Her vision was much better than most people. Underneath the water, she could see countless small fishes attracted by the blood seeping into the water.
They were not frightening.
What was frightening was that an enormous shadow was pressing close.
Beneath the water, within the ocean, it was a distance away from them and she could not see it clearly.
However, based on its shape, it was likely to be a great white shark!
Her expression quickly changed. Truly, the very thing you were afraid of would always come!
She swam upwards and broke the surface but failed to find Jungkook's figure.
The waves swept past over and over.
She frantically glanced around before finally discovering Jungkook's figure. He had already been swept around forty metres away.
"My wife..." Jungkook spoke weakly.
He was seriously injured and could barely move.
He was wearing a life jacket. All his energy was consumed just by pressing against his wound and maintaining his head above water.
For the first time, his gaze was filled with fear. He was not afraid of death. However, he was worried that she would quickly drown in the ocean without a life jacket.
Earlier, they shouldn't have separated.
Even if they were doomed to die, they should have held onto one another.
The prickling sense that danger was approaching grew stronger.
Jungkook discovered that an enormous great white shark was swimming towards them.
Fifty metres, forty metres, thirty metres...
It was pressing closer...
Jungkook quickly unfastened his life jacket and tossed it aside. Perhaps, Lisa could reach the life jacket and have a greater chance at survival.
To think that the all-powerful, noble and respected Jungkook would one day become a shark's meal.
If he wasn't paralysed from his wounds, he would definitely combat the creature with his bare hands.
With his well-trained skills, perhaps, even a shark like this would lose to him.
It was a pity that he was only a shadow of his powerful self right now.
The man-eating shark was right before him. Just as it was several metres away, it opened it's enormous mouth to swallow Jungkook whole.
All of a sudden, a dagger flew into the shark's mouth. It pierced through it's throat and cut clean through its back..
