736.One Step Ahead

She sighed. Since she knew Tzuyu was safe, she could not afford to divert too much attention to her right now.

Based on her memories, Nancy would save Ye Yunzhi, Jungkook's mother, today. Consequently her position in the Jeon home would also be elevated.

As she had not paid much attention to the Jeon family in her past life, she wasn't very certain about the details of this incident.

From what she heard, something had fallen from above and Nancy threw herself forward to push Ye Yunzhi aside. She then sprained her leg and received the Jeon family's elders' concern.

Lisa stood in the yard and noticed Nancy on the second storey of the Jing Xin Residence. She was standing on the balcony.

This meant that the incident had yet to happen.

However, she was dressed in a white dress and had her hair up in a bun. She had also done her make-up and it seemed she was preparing to head out soon.

Lisa intentionally wore a similar dress today. Her hair was also done in a bun.

High-rise littering was indeed a worrying issue.

However, Nancy had saved Ye Yunzhi at the crucial moment.

She felt that this was a scheme.

Perhaps, she could interfere with this scheme by dressing the same way Nancy did.

Lisa searched for Ye Yunzhi's number and dialled her number.

Ye Yunzhi sounded a little delighted on the other end. "Lisa ah, why did you think to call Mom so suddenly?"

Her loving voice left Lisa somewhat dazed for a moment.

Back when her mother, Fang Lilan, had been alive, she had also spoken to her in the same loving and gentle manner.

"Mom, I miss you." She spoke with some sadness. She missed her birth mother dearly, but wasn't Jungkook's mother also her own mother?

Ye Yunzhi was surprised. She sounded a little moved as she responded. "Mom is in the wrong. I must have neglected you. You've just married Jungkook and I was afraid of disturbing the both of you. How about this? I'm shopping at the Guo Mao Building. I'll buy you some clothes. Do you have the time to come over right now?"

Lisa was just about to ask for a location. It was even better that she shared it with her voluntarily. "I'll head there right now. I should be there in twenty minutes."

"In that case, I'll wait for you at the building entrance."

"Alright." Lisa ended the call and saw that Nancy was getting in her car.

She immediately climbed into hers and stepped on the accelerator to rush out of the Jeon family's mansion before her.

Nancy watched as Lisa sped away. She disappeared in a matter of seconds. This whore normally always had Soobin driving her around and acted as though she was a big figure. To think that she would drive personally right now.

"Is she rushing for a reincarnation?" Nancy mocked.

A hint of viciousness flashed past her eyes. In a moment, she would become Ye Yunzhi's saviour. She would then be able to crush this whore beneath her feet.

Lisa parked her car right outside Guo Mao Building and saw Yu Yunzhi waving at her. Yu Yunzhi held a shopping bag in her other hand.

Lisa immediately rushed over whilst glancing around.

All of a sudden, a flower pot fell from above and seemed like it would hit Ye Yuznhi.

Mom, be careful!" Lisa shouted loudly and ran forward to push her aside. The two of them fell onto the ground as the flower pot smashed into smithereens by their side.

It did so with a loud clamor.

"Ah!" A passer-by cried out in fright.

Lisa's complexion was pale as she checked to see if Yu Yunzhi was unharmed. "Mom, are you alright?"

Ye Yunzhi was still shaken up badly. Her daughter-in-law had rescued her without any concern for herself. Even now, her first priority was ensuring that she was safe.

She could not help but be deeply moved. "Lisa, are you unharmed?"
