FIVE days before our departure to USA, Seamus told me that dad cancelled our flight because of my pregnancy. They've been good to me ever since they told me about the truth. Dad always visits me in Sandro's house and brings me baskets of fruits.
I will start staying in Seamus' house as we prepare for our wedding.
I inhaled and watch the cars pass by as we drive our way to the penthouse. It's been a month since everything happened and up until now, I still can't believe about it. It was all a heavy revelations and thankfully, God helped me overcome those problems.
"We're here." Sandro said and stopped the car. I'll just park the car."
"All right." I answered and stepped out of the car.
"And don't carry heavy things, Adina. Antayin mo ako." Paalala pa niya na kinangiti ko. "I'm serious, baby."
I immediately rode on the elevator and when I arrived in kuya Cain's penthouse, I saw someone there. I smiled but his face doesn't have any emotion at all.
"Can we talk?" I asked. "How are you?" I asked but he didn't answer. "Did you really know everything about my family?"
"Why?"
Kumunot ang noo ko. "Anong why?"
"Why are you asking?"
"I just want to know Regan. I want to hear answers from you. I want to understand and know you too."
"You don't have to understand anything about me, Adina." He answered and put the book he's holding in the center table before he took the glass of liquor and sip on it. "You don't need to know me as well because I have no intentions of letting people enter my life."
"Regan—"
"Yes. I know everything about you and your family. I was there with Cain when he killed your mom. I've been watching him tell lies. I've been watching you being stupid about everything. I know about Sandro's marriage and I know that Cain is already losing in the game he started." He answered and I couldn't even find the right words to say. "But you must be wondering why I didn't tell you anything. This ain't my game, Adina. It's more fun to watch people die inside than being part of it."
"And seeing us fall in despair was fun to you?" I whispered.
Ngumisi naman 'to sa'kin. "Nah. It's fun when people die in front of my eyes." He said. "I don't meddle with anyone's problem, Adina, that's a straight fact. I only give clues to manipulate people and make them seek for the truth because seeing them find answers to my words was fun to watch."
"So...do you kill people too?" I asked.
Regan leaned his elbows to his knees and smiled coldly at me. "I'm the one who tells my people whom they will kill, Adina. I'm the devil who whispers."
