A world where Harry is raised by James and Regulus, there is no bias opinion and they'll be proud of him no matter what house he gets sorted into.

Harry stood on the platform staring at the train with nothing but nerves, don't get me wrong he was very excited to attend Hogwarts but his fathers were James Potter and Regulus Black, how was Harry supposed to live up to those legacies.

James had found some old friends he was talking to and Regulus was politely idling behind him, not up for small talk. Regulus was looking at the train with fond memories before he realised Harry hadn't followed them over, he walked back over to his son and got down on one knee, tying his shoelaces for him.

"Are you ok Harry?"

"Yeah..."

"You sure?"

"No"

"Do you want to tell me what's wrong?"

"You and dad were so amazing at school, I can't live up to that, what if everyone expects me to be great like you guys"

Regulus smiled, "your dad and I are going to be proud of you no matter what Harry, we love you and nothing's going to change that"

"Even if I get sorted into Slytherin?"

Regulus grinned, "especially if you get sorted into Slytherin" he brought his son into a hug and kissed his forehead, "I'm going to miss you so much my little starlight"

"I'm going to miss you too"

"And I promise you, these years are going to be some of the greatest memories you'll ever make"

"Really?"

Regulus nodded his head, "and I know you're not going to be like me or your dad... you're going to be even better than us"

Harry smiled as Regulus ruffed up his hair, James came over and pulled Harry into a hug, only letting go when Regulus had to physically move him away. Harry said goodbye to his parents and took a deep breath, stepping up onto the train and looking for a cabin.

To Harry's luck he had met plenty of people on the train who he actually knew, kids who's parents were friends with his dads, mainly James. He sat on a boat with three other kids as the water slowly drew them closer to the castle, Harry staring up at the building in absolute astonishment.

They entered the castle and were greeted by their first teacher, Minerva McGonagall. Once she had finished speaking to them, the students all walked together through the great hall to meet with the sorting hat.

The sorting hat started assigning children one by one into their houses, Harry watched as McGonagall paused and smiled before reading out his name,

"Harry Black-Potter"

Harry slowly walked up the steps and sat on the chair, looking around as people started whispering about his last name. Harry turned around and saw his Uncle Remus sitting at the head table smiling at him, he nodded back and closed his eyes as the sorting hat began to talk.

"Let's see here, intelligent yes but also curious, immense bravery yet also cunning, loyal and hardworking, perhaps reckless "

Harry squinted at that last one, he really hoped his upbringing with Sirius wouldn't come back as karma.

"But where to put you?"

Harry closed his eyes, he knew his parents would be proud of him either way but he knew the reputation so many Slytherins got...perhaps he could change that though?

"You're unsure what house you belong to? Hufflepuff could be a loyal home, Ravenclaw could feed your curiosity, in Gryffindor your hard work would pay off and in Slytherin, I read your mind, you could do just that."
