#46 James in Wonderland (Part One)

I had the idea of Marauders x Alice in Wonderland after seeing a comment by @todobaku26 !!

Now the two of us have gone down a marauders in wonderland rabbit hole (pun intended)

Just letting you know, I'm going to take ideas from the original book, original movie and new adaptations so we can get a hopefully cool story line that all ages can relate to!

Warning to anyone who hasn't seen Alice in Wonderland, especially the original:
The creators of Alice in wonderland were definitely high when they created the story so it's going to be weird but just go with it! I'm going to make it weirder!

James lay on a branch in the tree looking up at the clouds in the sky, completely zoning out as his mother, who sat on the ground against the trunk, read him the history of magic.

"James Fleamont Potter will you please pay attention! You are going to need this knowledge when you attend school next year" Effie looked up at the tree where James lay, raising her eyebrows in frustration.

James sat up so his mother could see him, "mum this book is a terrible waste of time"

"It's your schooling"

"It's rubbish is what it is"

"Oh? And how do you figure?"

"The world can't be that plain and boring!"

"Well I'm sorry young man but that's the reality for you and you better come to terms with it" Effie went back to the book and searched for the page she had just finished reading.

Dinah came and sat on James' lap, curling up and practically smiling as James scratched behind her ears. Dinah was James' pet cat, a black cat with white paws and a green bow for a collar.

"In my world, you would be able to talk!" James lifted Dinah to his face, "you'd be able to sing with me and do magic too! Like fly or even disappear!"

Effie listened to James as he giggled in the tree top, Dinah meowing in agreement, "oh that's absolute nonsense" Effie scoffed in amusement.

"And in my world we don't have to worry about school because-" James looked around at his surroundings and noticed the garden of daisies and tulips, "the flowers can talk and teach us anything we want to know!"

"James you are truly ridiculous, now come on, we'll be late for your fathers birthday celebration" Effie smiled as James climbed down the tree with Dinah and ran through the field, chasing a white rabbit down to the pond.

"In my world Dinah, we don't have to worry about birthday celebrations because every day is our birthday!"

James raced down to the water but lost the bunny in the thickets of bush, he huffed and turned to Dinah who had just caught up, "that rabbit must be running late for something very important"

Suddenly James' eyes widened as the rabbit poked its head out of the leaves, he wore glasses and a fuzzy brown sweater, his fur had now turned a mixture of greys rather than the pure white he had seen earlier and he seemed to have a little necklace with a clock on it.

The rabbit looked down at the clock and jumped up with a frantic expression, "oh dear, oh dear, oh dear I'm late, I'm late! For a very important date!"

Dinah and James looked at each other in astonishment and then watched as the rabbit bounced into the forest.

"Wait here Dinah you can't swim, I've got to go after that rabbit!" James jumped over the water and ran through the trees as he followed the fluffy cotton tail through the woods, that was until he stumble across a large oak tree. James watched the rabbit turn once more to look at James and before James could react, the rabbit jumped down the hole.
