#8 Barista

Ok ya girl got all her unit work done in 3 hours! I'm so proud of myself so I can probably still write like I am throughout the week

Description: Regulus comes to the same cafe to help focus on his studies and James is the barista/waiter there.

Regulus was having another one of those moments where he couldn't focus on his work and every little thing was distracting him. He had to get out of his common room and go somewhere, anywhere else but there. As he was walking up the stairs he ran into his brother Sirius who looked at him confused,
"Brother are you alright? You look sad"

"Oh hi Sirius, yeah I'm alright just can't focus for some reason"

"You should go to this cafe in Hogsmeade, cute place and really peaceful my best friend is a barista there. Tell him I sent you and you might be able to get a discount on your coffee" Sirius quickly wrote the address down and handed it to Regulus, "ask for James Potter".

Regulus walked out of the school and down to Hogsmeade where he watched through the glass at all the students who were in the three broomsticks together or the couples who were sitting at the cute tables in Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop, he wondered what that love my might feel like but shook the thought away as quickly as it came and continued to the cafe. He arrived at the shop, it was charming and cozy, there was a fireplace and the majority of the chairs were soft couches or booths rather than the wooden chairs he was use to. There was a large bookcase in the back of the room which contained a range of crazy stories and diverse novels, Regulus was definitely intrigued by the place, he was surprised he hadn't come sooner. He looked around and saw a red and gold cushioned chair in the corner near the bookcase, it had a small desk in front of it for writing, it was the perfect spot to finish his work.

(James' POV)
I was cleaning a table after some customers had left when someone walked through the door, I looked up after hearing the small bell and looked at the boy who stood in the middle of the room, looking around at the furniture and eyeing the study chair in the corner which hadn't been touched in years. He was average for his height, had dark hair which sat messy but in a clean sort of way, he was wearing a loose jumper with a white collared shirt underneath and tight black pants, his hands were covered in silver jewels and a dog tag hung around his neck. He was holding a couple of books about transfiguration and potions as well as what looked like a normal study book, he had picked a good place to study, one of the reasons this place is so nice is due to its calming atmosphere. He was beautiful.

I continued looking at him until I realized he was staring at me with partial annoyance,

"So you are you going to say anything to me or just stare?"

"I'm so sorry, uh yes come in. What can I get for you?"

"Thanks, my brother recommended this place if I needed somewhere quiet to study, can I..do that here?"

"Yeah sure of course, there's a desk over there you can have or feel free to grab one of the couches. Who's your brother?"

"Thank you, I'll take the desk. Sirius"

"Black?"

"I don't know how many Sirius' you're meeting but yeah that's him"

"How have I never met you before?! I'm James, I'm literally his best friend how have we not met" Regulus shook his hand but promptly put it back in his pocket, "I transferred here recently and I'm in Slytherin so we don't see much of each other"
