#5 Which Dad?

Side note: Based off an incorrect quotes post I saw :) sorry if you find it slightly sad

Description: all the marauders are grown up and alive, James and Regulus are Harry's parents. Harry's like 8 in this, he understands magic well because of his family but is still a naive child who doesn't understand how evil people can be so he kinda just goes along with it.

Harry stood in the middle of the fortress, Sirius to one side and Remus to the other. Their wands were drawn and the death eaters were slowly circling and closing them in, Remus and Sirius continued to throw spells at them, using protection enchantments around Harry. The death eaters suddenly surrendered their wands and the three turned to see one particular man walk out from the shadows, he revealed his mask and there stood Lucius Malfoy. Sirius and Remus raised their wands again Harry stood in between them, holding his own with a shaky grip, trying his best not to show the fear he had.

"Well isn't this sweet?" Lucius stepped forward, not raising his wand at any of them.

"I don't know what you think you're here for but you're not getting it" Remus responded, keeping his wand drawn.

"Please boys stay calm, I'm just here to collect Harry... I'm sure his father is worried about him"

"Which one?" Harry asked confused

"What?"

"Which dad do you have?"

Lucius turned to a death eater behind him who whispered something and Lucius repeated it back to Harry.

"Uh dark curly hair, looks kind of tired...likes cats"

"Oh that's Regulus" Harry smiled innocently

"Oh no you don't have him, he has you" Sirius gave a happy sigh under his breath

"Good luck" Remus added and the three began to laugh among themselves.

"Phew I thought he had James for a second, then we'd have to go save his annoying ass, again! but it's ok it's just Reg, he'll be fine" Sirius hit his knee and placed an arm on Remus' shoulder.

Lucius looked confused and went to speak when suddenly the floor started to shake, a dark mist filled the room and everyone's wands were taken out.

"Oh dads here" Harry said happily, Remus and Sirius took Harry to the side and held his hands while a dark figure entered through the door.

"Get. Away. From. My. Son" a green fire suddenly spread throughout the room, taking on the form of a large snake. Spells were thrown at the door but within seconds the man had wiped out every dark wizard in the room, leaving Lucius standing helplessly in the middle, looking down at his wand which was now broken. Lucius backed away as Regulus appeared before him, "where is my child?" he hissed at Lucius, holding his wand to Lucius' throat.

"Hi dad!" Harry jumped down and ran towards his father who had his arms out, sighing with relief.

"Hello my darling, I'm so sorry I wasn't here. I hope you're ok now, did Sirius and Remus look after you well today?" Regulus smiled warmly, tucking Harry's hair to the side and giving him a kiss on the forehead.

"I'm ok dad, yeah we had a good day. We went exploring and uncle Siri-"

"That's beautiful but how did you end up here?"

"Oh while we were exploring this big crazy cloud appeared in the sky and uncle moony grabbed uncle Sirius and I and pulled us down because this guy in a really dark outfit tried to use one of the unforgivable curses on me...I think uncle Remus didn't want me to know what the curses are but I'm going to learn them at school anyway" Harry whispered at the end.
