Look who's still alive ✌🏻
Regulus sat at his laptop, blankly staring at the screen. Regulus knew he had a fan base that really did love his content and he was so incredibly grateful for all the support and love he got on there, but with everything happening in his life, the idea of writing something just caused him to go into complete procrastination mode. Regulus had no inspiration and a severe case of writers block.
"Maybe I could just give them something funny to read in the meantime? Find some cute pictures or quotes for them to laugh about" Regulus put his head on the table and made a rather disgruntled noise that sounded more like a distressed thestral than a struggling author.
Regulus had come to a cute cafe which Pandora ran with her fiancé Xeno. The cafe was quaint and had a very cozy feel to it, there was a table at the back of the room that Regulus would sit in every time he came, it was right next to the bookshelf so as he wrote he had the sweet aroma of parchment and coffee flowing through the air.
They were all out of high school now, most of them being in their early twenties, Regulus thought after Hogwarts he would be ok but there were so many changes and he couldn't keep up with the times. Sirius and Regulus no longer lived together, Sirius having moved in with Remus after their engagement and Evan and Barty were off doing Merlin knows what. Regulus was at least happy they would send him postcards, letting Regulus know they were ok.
Regulus couldn't understand why he couldn't just break the cycle he was in though, he still had his friends, he had a roof over his head and clean water and food, he was in perfect health...minus a couple mind vs heart issues but he was just so exhausted, I mean really what did he have to sulk about?
Regulus got distracted when he heard the bell of the cafe, he looked up and saw a familiar face standing in the frame, shaking the snow out of his hair and cleaning his glasses from the fog. Regulus began to blush and quickly looked back down at his laptop, praying he hadn't noticed his existence.
"Reggie? Hey!"
Regulus sighed, "I've told you not to call me that"
Regulus and James hadn't seen each other for a long time, practically since leaving Hogwarts, Regulus looked James up and down and admired his figure and now more prominent facial features, he had definitely had his glow up since school. James was doing the same to Regulus, Regulus had always been attractive to James but now as they had matured the features James loved seemed even more vibrant.
James pulled up a chair and sat opposite, "I'm sorry, Regulus"
Regulus hummed in response, "what are you doing here?"
"Grabbing a coffee, you?" James then noticed the blank page on Regulus screen, "oh writing? What's the story about?"
Regulus narrowed his eyes, he couldn't lie now if James had already seen his screen and he supposed James wasn't a malicious person who would make fun of him for it.
"I'm not sure yet, having trouble thinking of an idea"
"Why don't you write about Hogwarts, I'm sure you've got plenty of stories you could tell about that place"
Regulus raised his eyebrows and scoffed in agreement but shook his head, "I'm not that kind of writer"
"Oh? What do you write then?"
"Fantasy, romance, sometimes straight erotica. Nothing I imagine you'd be interested in"
Regulus raised an eyebrow and smiled at the waitress who brought his drink over. The waitress blushed and tucked her hair away in response, Regulus did feel a little bad he couldn't feel the same way, but it wasn't his fault he was gay.
