"Baby, we need to decide a name sooner or later because I would like to go home."
Jada was doing surprisingly well for giving birth just over a day ago. And she was ready to get the hell out of the hospital. Sure, the nurses were great and her family had been great, she was ready to go home and relax in her own bed.
Except they couldn't. Not until they named their baby girl. Michelle, Grace, Arizona, and even Sofia had all given their opinions. But Callie and Jada were still stuck on a name. Sofia also didn't ask a lot of questions which surprised both Callie and Jada. They were expecting to need to have an important conversation with their oldest daughter, but thankfully, that didn't need to happen.
"I like all the names we thought of," Callie said.
"But you can't decide."
"You can't decide either!"
"Come here, baby," Jada said softly.
Callie did as told and sat down on the hospital bed beside her wife. "Let's talk about it. I want to get the hell out of here," she insisted.
"I know," Callie agreed. "I don't really want to share you or the baby anymore."
"I like Riley Taylor," Jada said. "It's unique."
"Me too," Callie replied. "I like all of the names we talked about."
"Do you want to do it then?"
"I'm game if you are."
"Can you bring her over here?" Jada asked.
Callie was immediately on her feet and heading over to their little girl's bassinet. She gently picked up the little girl and carried her over to the bed and sat down beside Jada.
"Hi Riley Taylor," Jada said excitedly as she took the baby girl from her wife's arms. After saying it, her smile only widened. "Calliope, that's it. Riley Taylor Torres."
Callie leaned over and pressed a quick and gentle kiss to Callie's lips. "I'm going to get the nurses."

Jada was happy to finally be home and back in her own bed. It had been a long day and a half at the hospital. She groaned as she tried to lean over and cuddle into Callie. Although the very painful part was over, Jada was still very sore and in pain from labor.
"Easy there," Callie said as she moved beside Jada. "I'll cuddle you. You rest."
"Why do I feel like I heard that before?" she asked with a smile tugging at her lips.
"Because you did that to me, don't forget," Callie said as she wrapped her arm around Jada. "You did great babe. I'm so proud of you."
Jada leaned back into Callie's strong and warm embrace. "Thank you. I feel like a beached whale though."
"Oh stop," Callie said with a sigh. "I'm not expecting you to look like a model here."
"I know," Jada protested. "But, you're perfect."
"Jaelynn, you just had a freaking kid. And you look pretty hot from what I'm seeing."
"Calliope, stop."
Slowly and careful not to hurt her wife, Callie turned Jada nearly onto her back and pressed a kiss to her lips. "I love you."
"I love you too, Calliope," Jada said softly. "You're on Sofia and Riley duty. I need to sleep."
"I'm on Jaelynn duty too," Callie added. "I've got you. Let me know what you need."
Jada leaned up against Callie so that there was no physical space separating the two. "How are you so perfect?" Jada asked sleepily.
"I should be asking you the same thing."
"Calliope, you are the most gorgeous girl in the entire world. And the prettiest, and the sexiest, and everything about you is just perfect."
"Well, guess what?"
"What?" Jada asked.
"I think the same thing about you everyday."
"You are such a flirt," Jada said, playfully rolling her eyes even though Callie wasn't able to see it.
"I talk a good game, I know."
"You know, both our kids are going to turn out like you and it's going to drive me nuts."
"You'll love it," Callie teased. "I know you will."
Jada yawned loud and long enough that Callie caught on and yawned as well. "Get some sleep baby girl," Callie said softly. "I'll take care of the girls and you."
"Thank you, Calliope."
Callie smiled. "I'll get Riley when she's ready for food."
