"Calliope, please talk to me."

Since the argument earlier, Callie and Jada had yet to sit down and talk about it. Sofia was quick to come back downstairs after she changed into her pajamas and brushed her teeth while Arizona put Riley down. They hadn't had time to be alone long enough.

But after Sofia, and then Arizona went to bed, Jada joined her wife on the couch. "What are you doing?" Jada asked as Callie laid down on the couch and pulled a blanket over herself.

"Going to bed," Callie answered quietly.

"On the couch?"

"What does it look like?"

"Callie, please."

"Jaelynn, I am going to bed."

Taking a deep breath, Jada moved to sit on Callie's lap to prevent her from flipping onto her side. "Calliope, I want you in the bed with me tonight. You are not sleeping on the couch by yourself."

"I was wrong for snapping at you. I know you were just trying to help, and I never should've treated you like I did. I'm sorry."

"I'm sorry too," Callie replied.

Jada looked up at Callie, very confused by the words that had just come from her wife's mouth. "What?"

"I'm sorry that I'm not good enough for you."

Jada couldn't tell if Callie was being serious or not. "Calliope, I am not good enough for you. You deserve so much more than someone like me."

"You said you've been having nightmares for quite some time now. And that was the first time I noticed."

"I didn't mean that," Jada was quick to respond. "You cut off your powers to protect us from anyone or anything. I was wrong to expect that of you."

"If I tap into my powers... you and I, and the girls... we're targets." Callie took a deep breath. "It's too dangerous for me to use them. I was told not to use them. Natasha and the other agents are hitting one dead end after another."

"You're not using them, Calliope. It's on me to be more open and transparent with you. I need to come to you and I can't expect you to discover everything. It was wrong of me to hold that over your head."

"Please come to bed with me, Calliope. I need you."

"It's really that bad?" Jada asked. "You haven't told me much."

"There's not much to tell," Callie answered softly. "If I tap into my powers at all, we're a target."

Jada pressed her lips together and cuddled up against Callie who was leaned up against the headboard of their bed. From what she knew, Natasha and some of the other agents were attempting to track down some sort of evil. Whoever or whatever it is has the ability to sense an agents superpower and track them down to kill them.

"I worry about Riley," Callie continued. "We should've never used my eggs to conceive her because there's a chance she could inherit my powers."

Jada wrapped her arms tightly around Callie. "We're thinking too hard about this. We're safe. We're overreacting with the what if's. You and I will take whatever means necessary to protect our family."

Leaning over and gently kissing the side of Callie's neck, she added, "If your powers can be passed to Riley, then I should have them as well considering I've licked up enough of your-"

"Thank you for that description," Callie was quick to interrupt. "You're right though. We're overreacting. We've been fine for a while now."

"Do you think I have your powers?" Jada asked softly.

"You probably do," Callie replied.

"Is there a chance we can just forget today happened?" Jada questioned. "I need to be more open with you and I am sorry for how I treated you."

"Yeah, we can do that."
