"CALLIE!"
Jada tried her best to get to the bathroom, but collapsed against the dresser in pain. She was having cramps and could barely move. Normally, she did okay with cramps, but these cramps weren't normal. Jada felt like her lower body was going to explode.
"Callie!"
The bathroom door swung open and Callie was immediately supporting Jada's weight. "What's going on?"
Jada leaned her head into Callie's shoulder and cried. "It hurts so bad! I can't do it anymore!"
"Okay," Callie said softly as she kissed Jada's sweaty forehead. "Can you tell me what's going on?"
Callie jumped at the painful scream that was just ripped from her wife's throat. "It feels like period cramps on steroids!" Jada yelled.
"Babe, you're going into labor," Callie said.
"It's too early."
"It's not," Callie replied. "This happens sometimes." She then asked, "Babe, do you want to go to the hospital or stay here?"
"The hospital," Jada croaked as another wave of pain hit her. "Just help me Callie!"
She would've collapsed if it wasn't for Callie's strong arms keeping her upright. "I'm going to carry you to the car and we're going to go to the hospital, okay?"
"Okay."
Luckily, Callie hadn't undressed or gotten in the shower yet. She gently picked up Jada bridal style and began to carry her out of their bedroom and down the hallway.
"Callie..." Jada said groggily as she leaned her head against her wife's shoulder.
"Stay with me," Callie said as she hurried down the stairs and through the house. "I've got you."
"Why did you do this to me!?" Jada complained as Callie carried her down the stairs.
Pretty soon they were in the car and heading towards the hospital. Callie called Jada's mom, and Arizona who were going to meet them at the hospital.
"Can we just get this over with," Jada growled under her breath. "Callie!"
"Here, hold my hand," Callie said as she took Jada's hand in hers. "Squeeze it as hard as you need to."
"Thank you baby. It hurts so bad!"
"I know sweetheart," Callie answered softly. "We're going to go right in and you're going to have this baby. You're doing great."
"Drive faster!"

Luckily for Jada, the hospital wasn't too far. They were there in less than 10 minutes and Jada was already in a delivery room. She hadn't let go of Callie's hand, save for a few times since they arrived at the hospital and she wasn't planning on letting go of her wife anytime soon.
They were surrounded by nurses and had been informed that their baby's head could be seen. She was being told to push, and was actively trying, but it seemed to Jada like they weren't getting anywhere.
"Where do you want me?" Callie asked from beside Jada.
Even though she wasn't in the right state to speak coherently, Jada appreciated that. Earlier in her pregnancy, she insisted that Callie be down there to help the nurses deliver their baby girl. But right now with how much pain she was in, Jada just needed comfort.
"I need you, Callie," Jada breathed heavily.
Callie sat down on the hospital bed beside her wife and began to gently rub her back in an attempt to ease some of the pain. "I've got you," Callie said again.
"You've got this," she reassured Jada. "I'm right here and I'm not going anywhere."
"Thank you, baby."
"Mrs. Torres, go ahead and push again," one of the nurses said from in front of Jada.
Callie cuddled into Jada from behind. "Push babe. You can do it."
Callie's strong arms wrapped around Jada and didn't let go throughout the entire delivery. Each time she cried out in pain, Callie would rub her back and place gentle kisses onto her neck.
"You can do it, babe."
"We're almost there," another nurse said.
"Come on, Jaelynn," Callie said again. "You can do this. Come on."
Jada leaned back against Callie and pushed as hard as she could, the pain intensified so bad she couldn't breathe before abruptly subsiding.
"You did it!" Callie said happily.
But Jada didn't hear that. She heard her little girl's first cry in the arms of one of the nurses. She was exhausted and couldn't hold herself upward, but she needed to hold her little girl.
"Let me hold her," Jada said.
"Let me help you," Callie said from behind. She helped Jada sit up fully into her chest and wrapped her arms around Jada's arms to help support their little girl.
Although Jada was exhausted, when their youngest daughter was placed into her arms, she wasn't anymore. She was holding her little girl.
