Jada looked over when she felt Callie begin to stir. She groaned, stretched her arm out a little, before opening her eyes slightly. Those chocolate brown eyes Jada loved so much quickly focused on her.

"Hi, Calliope," Jada said softly, turning more onto her side to face Callie.

"Hi," Callie croaked as she tried to wear off the sleepiness. "I feel like shit."

Jada couldn't help but laugh. "Hey," Callie protested. "That's not funny."

"I bet you do feel like shit," Jada agreed. "You drank and smoked so much."

Callie tried to push her upper body upward, but failed and flopped back down onto the pillow. "I shouldn't have done that," she said groggily. "It was bad last night and..."

"Baby, I had it under control," Jada reassured her. "You've taken care of me so many times, I wanted to do the same for you."

She nodded. "Thank you."

"You're welcome," Jada answered softly. "You did it for me before and I know you will continue to do it in a heartbeat."

"You're right," Callie chuckled. "What time is it?"

"It's two," Jada answered.

Callie's eyes went wide. "Two in the afternoon!?"

"Relax," Jada said, placing her hand on Callie's chest to keep her from trying to get up.

"But, it's New Years-"

"Calliope," Jada called sternly enough to stop her wife in her tracks. "We didn't really have any plans today anyway. It was a good day for you to recover from a hangover."

"Have you been up here all day?" Callie was quick to ask.

Jada shook her head. "No, I've been downstairs most of the morning but I would keep coming up to check on you to make sure you didn't throw up or anything."

"I don't stink," Callie stated blatantly.

"Because I threw your ass in the bath last night," Jada replied with a smile. "You're a lot heavier than you look.

"And it's all because of this, sweetheart," Callie boasted as she flexed her left arm.

"I figured that out pretty fast," Jada teased in response.

Callie took a deep breath. "I had a dream last night," she said suddenly.

"About what?"

Callie looked seriously into Jada's eyes. "We need to tell Sofia she's adopted," Callie said. "I don't know what came over me to have a dream like that, but we need to do it soon."

"We've done everything right," Callie began to ramble. "We've introduced her to the topic of adoption. She thinks it's pretty cool. She's going to be five this year and we need to tell her. She's at the age now where she can start to understand it and I don't want her to feel like we blindsided her."

Jada rolled over to wrap her arms around Callie. "Okay, we'll tell her."
