Tay only looked up as the chair next to him made a squeaking noise. With tired and puffy eyes, he looked up at the person next to him. To his surprise it was Kinn. He didn't look at Tay, he just let himself fall next to him and took another deep breath, like he had done so often in the last time. Tay swallowed. Kinn had no reason to sit next to him, why would he do so if he was mad at him? Wasn't he mad anymore? Had he forgiven Tay? With big eyes Tay looked at Kinn, waiting for him to speak and say something. "I am still mad, but if I don't sit here people would know how upset I am with you." Tay nodded. Of course, Kinn was still mad, how could he forgive him that quickly. Time joined them in the last row. Obviously, he had placed himself next to Tay blocking everyone of, that would think they had even the slightest chance to pursue his ex-lover. Tay just accepted his fate, styed quite and looked down at his hands which nervously played with his rings. He felt Times arm around his back, but didn't move. He couldn't and didn't want to. He was too drained from the past night and fight he had. Like many lessons he had in the last weeks, he didn't paid much attention. His grades must be dropping at this point, but Tay didn't care. It was enough torture to carry himself to class every day, how was he supposed to pay attention as well.
Time passed, Tay just followed his friend and ex-boyfriend mindlessly. Not paying attention to anything in his surroundings. Time and Kinn chatted, they had fun and teased each other while Tay just stayed quiet, staring down at his hands. He answered Vegas text messages shortly without many words and just wanted to get home again. Even though he would probably run into his father.
Just as he had predicted it, as soon as he stepped food into the entrance hall, his father started to shout at him. He screamed and screamed, and Tay just stood there, letting his words rain down at him. He was numb. Numb from all the complicated emotions he had experienced in the last couple of weeks. Vegas had made him reach heaven and now brough him down to hell, and still, he couldn't stay away from the man with the devilish mind and daring smile. But just like that, without Tay realizing that his father had stopped screaming he was pulled into a thigh embrace. He didn't know who was hugging him, so gently and comforting, but he just let his head fall onto the warm shoulder of the other person. It turned out to be the head of the maids, an elderly woman that had been in Tay's life ever since he was borne. She probably worked longer in this family, but Tay didn't knew if that was truth, as he had never talked much to her. Just now he realized that she had always been there. Every high and low, she had seen it and watched him go through it all. This woman was probably the closes thing to a mother that he had ever since his own mother left him. "It's good tha you are back, Khun Tay." She gently squeezed the trembling boy and just held him until Tay decided himself, that he wanted to leave. He smiled at her softly before walking back up the stairs to his room.
His bed was made and at the small fridge he had in his living room area filled with his favorite snacks and drinks. It must had been the head maid, no one else would have done everything to his liking like that. He let himself sink onto the couch and wrapped himself into a thin blanked. He had been freezing ever since Kinn had left the room last night. Even though it was hot outside, and the sun did its very best now a days.
His phone was buzzing, announcing an incoming call. Tay unwrapped himself and answered. "Yes?" "Are you sure, you are okay?" Vegas. Of course, it was him. "Yes." Tay swallowed the lump in his throat down. "Really? You have barely texted me today. I know it must be hard on you Please be honest with me." Vegas begged. Tay wanted to scream at him to stop. But he didn't he stayed quiet. "Kinn doesn't talk to me, but what else would I deserve. I am back home, and my father just gave me a lecture. And ever since Kinn yelled at me and kicked me out, I have been over thinking every single live decision and if us being with each other is really forth loosing my best friend." Tay didn't want to rent like that. But as he started talking it all just blurred out of him. As if it was hidden deep inside of him for a long time already and now finally found it's chance to surface. Vegas stayed quiet. Tay didn't knew what to say either. He just listened into the phone not to miss anything that Vegas potentially could say. He could hear how Vegas breath got heavier and heavier. How he swallowed down a couple of times before his voice sounded again weaker than it had before. "Do you want to end it again?" Vegas barely seemed to be able to press out what he wanted to say. He sounded as if just saying that sentence exhausted him incredibly. "I don't know." Tay was honest. Vegas had wished that Tay would have been dishonest with him. Lying to him and tell him, that they could be something. "I don't want to end what we have. But I know that that would be the right thing to do." Tay tried to explain himself, as he could hear Vegas trying to gasp for some air without making to much noise. "I... I know this is the wrong time to say it, but..." Vegas paused himself. He seemed to consider if what he was about to tell Tay was actually worth fit. "I... I love you, Tay."
