Tay's eyes widened as he felt his body being pushed to the ground. We weren't careful enough he though as he crashed into the red mud. A heavy weight on top of him. Was that what dying felt like. His body way aching. It was as if it was aching everywhere. He felt as if he couldn't breath anymore. As if his lungs had failed onto him. Were they filling at this moment with blood? Yeah that's what dying must feel like, he thought, as his lungs were fighting against a strange force to finally expand again. But Tay way happy, he was dying for the man he loved. He freed the man he loved from the misery his life had been. He just hoped that Vegas would be able to move on. Walk away, cry for a little but move on soon or later. Tay smiled as he thought so. He was dying now; he was disappearing, and it was okay. He was fine with it. Just if someone could promise him, that Vegas was taken care of, and he would be fine with finding his last resting place here. He could feel his mind slowly getting blurry. Tay had never thought this would be how he would end. He thought just a couple of months ago, that he would day one day, either of a disease or at his own hands. But now he had died for a much greater caused which he was happy with. He couldn't had hoped for a better way to die. Just move on Vegas, you are finally free, he said but no words left his mouth. His body slowly started to get numb. A warm feeling flooding over him. Yeah, this must be it.
Vegas watched as Tay slowly picked up his pace. They had made, they had won. With a grin he kept track of his lover, as something at the side picked up his attention. Before he even was able to identify what was happening, the shoot was already fired. Achara stood there at the side, her arm raised, in her hand a gun directed at Tay. Everything seemed to stand still for a second. Vegas felt as if his feat had grown into the floor. As if his body didn't want to obey him anymore. He was frozen in place staring at the one woman he had trusted. That Tay had trusted. The one woman who had known about their plans, that had given them a sense of safety all this time. Who had turned into their backstabber, their cheater. Achara. Was Vegas this easy to fool, was his father, right? Was he to stupid to do anything right? Had this woman been playing games with him and Tay all this time. Maybe she was the one that had brought Tay so close to killing himself the last time. Maybe all the bad things that had happened to them over the last couple of weeks were all caused by here and no one else. Tay and he had been stupid foolish. They were naïve to trusting. How did they even know the woman? Why did they even trust her in the first place? Just because she was married to a man, that had been nice to them once. Or just because she brought Tay to the tattoo shop. Vegas couldn't take his eyes of the person that had betrayed him so miserably. She took his only happiness from him, how was he supposed to survive now. To carry on? To live further? He was nothing without his Tay, and the one he had trusted, has taken it from him. Vegas felt as if he was a little boy again. He could hear his father laugh about his stupidity and mistakes again. Just like he had done then, as he was just eight years old, holding in his hands a small hedgehog. He back then had backed his father for a pet, and his father had juts noted after a while. He had brought him a little hedgehog, telling him, he wouldn't be able to love him anyways with all his spikes, he would die soon anywys. And so, he did even though Vegas had given it's best to keep the little thing alive he had died. Vegas just was able to take care of what was his. He had never been able to do so. He had hopped that Tay would be the exception, but he wasn't. He died because Vegas had been too careless. Because Vegas hadn't taken care of him good enough. Maybe if Vegas had just checked once more if Acharas background history way clear he would have caught on to her betrayal. But now he had been too late. No, he was back in the beginning. Alone in the dark without any hope and faith. Just him and those terrible thoughts his father had planned into his mind ages ago.
