Second Chances Part 1

Angel Dust had been the star of adult entertainment for many years. It was so much fun in the beginning. But now he wanted out. However, it wasn't easy. This was Hell, after all. You didn't just walk out on an overlord. Valentino kept his employees (or "property," as he called them) on a very tight leash. All his employees learned too late what kind of boss he was. On the one hand, it wasn't surprising since this was Hell. But on the other hand, he sucked even by Hell's standards. At best, Valentino let his employees make their own schedules and allow vacation time. And that was pretty much it. All other aspects of the jobs were miserable.

Today was Angel's rare day off. He was wandering the backstreets to avoid the public eye. He was very noticeable and didn't want any attention, especially on his days off. A flyer caught his eye as he made his way through the alley. It was advertising a new place that had opened only last month. But that wasn't what actually snagged his attention. The place was a rehabilitation hotel founded by the princess herself with assistance from Sir Radio Demon. She aimed to help demons into Heaven to help the serious overpopulation problem. The manager, Vaggie, ran all daily operations. In addition, there was a bar. To make things better, rooms and meals were free. Angel stared. As much as the idea of demons going to Heaven made him laugh, it was a good chance to get away from work. And free room and food were never a dealbreaker. Angel tore the flyer down without a second thought and tucked it into his messenger bag. He headed into the heart of Pentagram City, where the rehab hotel stood.

One hour later, Angel knocked on the big hotel doors. Charlie herself welcomed him in and brought out refreshments. She explained how her place worked, what they did for patients, and what they expected from said patients. He had to hand it to her. He wouldn't have been able to say all this without laughing. But he wasn't there to entertain her dream of redeeming demons.
