Loona was busy getting ready for a date. At the moment, she was staring at her reflection. She turned around a few times and blushed slightly. Dating had never been toward the top of her list. But after I.M.P had been asked to work as extra security guards for Verosika, things had changed. Loona and her head of security, Vortex. They had got talking during some downtime between songs and hit it off. By the end of the night, they had agreed to grab dinner and maybe have some real fun. Blitzo was waiting by the front door to see his daughter off. And he was dressed somewhat professionally today. He didn't want to embarrass her. Vortex knocked a short while later. Loona's ears perked up, and she hurried downstairs. The two were chatting and introducing themselves. With a few simple rules set, Blitzo wished his daughter well and watched the two drive off into the big city.
Vortex rolled up to one of the finest restaurants in Pentagram City. Getting reservations hadn't been easy. He held the door open for Loona and followed her inside. Usually, he was all about partying and having a good time. But tonight, he was serious. Not many women made an impression on him. Loona had in just one night. As he informed the greeter about their reservations, he thought about all times he had messed around with whatever pair of legs in a skirt caught his eye. But this time, it was different. It was real. As they ordered, Vortex contemplated how to make her look twice. Loona was already into him. He knew that. Now he had to not mess it up. Second chances were rare in Hell.
After dinner, Vortex took Loona out for a stroll. It was surprisingly quiet tonight. Whether that was good or bad was anyone's guess. But the sky was clear with a full moon and dotted with stars. As a bonus, it wasn't too cold out either. It was rarely so beautiful. And somehow calming. Loona held onto Vortex's arm as they walked around the city. They got to know each other a bit better. Then on the way back to the car, something happened. A robbery was going down two doors from where Vortex had parked. Now, both were skilled fighters and weren't shy to kill. But they were on a date. And he wasn't about to let it be ruined. So, they quietly backed off. While a bit pissed at missing an opportunity to get into a fight, Loona understood that he was putting her first. It wasn't that he didn't trust her to handle herself. He didn't want her to get hurt. So, she stayed close and followed his lead.
Half an hour passed before Vortex determined it was safe to get outa there. He immediately got Loona into the car and apologized for the disturbance. Even though he had nothing to do with the night turning bad. The shadow of a rare smile spread on her face. Loona leaned over and kissed his cheek. Vortex was glad that it was dark. Because he was blushing. He quickly tried to divert his attention away from the thoughts that clawed their way to the surface of his mind. This wasn't the time for such things. Even though he knew she wouldn't turn him down. Vortex hurried back. His primary objective was getting her home safely.
Blitzo was watching tv while waiting for his daughter. Vortex walked Loona up the path and followed her in. Nervous, he asked for a second date. With a little laugh, she hugged and kissed him. It was more than enough of an answer. He cleared his throat as Blitzo appeared and thanked him for taking care of his daughter. On the spot, another date was set for the week after next. Vortex excused himself with another blush. Loona smirked as she watched him drive off. Yeah, another date was in order. He was the one for her.
