Charlie had had enough. She was done with her father's never-ending condescending remarks and endless wave of insults. She had worked for so many years to make her dreams come true. She had put in so much time and effort, from establishing the hotel to gathering a team. Charlie's hotel had been open for one and a half years now. But nothing changed. It was still the same old story from her father. She couldn't count all the sleepless nights she had spent crying herself to sleep and struggling the following day. Lucifer was never going to support her ambitions. That much was finally clear. Charlie didn't know what to do anymore. As things grew darker, her staff decided to hold an intervention.
The months dragged by. The hotel was closed for several renovations and heavy maintenance. During this time, Charlie also made a huge decision. First, she called her mother. With her approval, it was time to move on. The next time she was at the castle, she announced her decision. She was getting the Hell out of the castle. It may have been the house she grew up in. But it was no home. Not anymore. With that, Charlie walked out the doors for the last time. Her things were already packed, and her room was empty. She was done with her father's attitude. It seemed like fatherly disappointment and disappointing children ran in the family. But it was over now. Charlie was gone.
