Under the Full Moon

Living the high life in the royal lane was anything but fun. The perks of money, power, servants, a big house, and more only lasted so long. Selene was tired of it. She wanted her own life. But it wasn't easy. Being born to the rich had its share of miseries and pains. She couldn't go out alone, befriend anyone she wanted, and go to the poor parts of Hell. Selene was a girl who knew what the Hell she wanted. And it wasn't this rich, egotistical life. However, to put it kindly, she had it better than some Goetia kids who were under house arrest. So, she was careful not to complain too much. Still, Selene was determined to live her own life.

One day, Selene's parents told her another big meeting was being held. Last time, she had been too young to understand. But it was fun. Now she was older. And it was super dull. All the adults did was talk about laws, rankings, and whatnot. She wasn't even following along half the time. Things remained uninteresting until the meeting broke for lunch, and a young man approached her. He introduced himself as Kelvin. And he was quite the catch. Having nobody to talk to, Selene decided to entertain him. However, things changed as they talked over lunch away from the crowd. He was a pretty nice guy. Kelvin was a little quiet but far more capable than most men. Selene opted to take up his offer on a date by the time the day-long meeting resumed. This time, they sat together. Guess coming to this great meeting was worth it.

A month later, Selene and Kelvin were on a date. She was a demon of the night and loved stargazing. They often went for midnight walks or had twilight picnics on rooftops. More specifically, these picnics were during nautical twilight. As they spent more time together, Selene grew to like Kelvin more. Their relationship became serious. Their families had already been introduced. So, there was no point in holding back as they toyed with the idea of living together. And they made it happen by the new year.
