Ten years ago, Phenex and Malenia had started dating. Soon after, they had married and moved in together. They made their home somewhere in the curves of the Pride Ring. It was a nice place, for being in Hell and all. They also had a son soon after settling down. His name was Kelvin. Their son was now in his teenage years. And like any teen, a handful and a riot. But he knew his limits. When Kelvin discovered his powers, it was the greatest day of his life. He had taken after his mother, and his ice power quickly manifested itself. From then on, his training began. Luckily, he had his grandfather and mother to teach him everything.

When Kelvin hit adulthood, he found his special someone. Like his parents, they met at a large Goetia gathering. They quickly clicked during the lunch break. Phenex spied them eating outside under a cabana meant for two. He couldn't help but smile. It took him back to when he had met Malenia. Knowing what would come, he left them alone and informed his cold wife. Malenia was also very happy. She had been worried about their son. Elementals were always fondly thought of (usually out of jealousy).

As expected, Kelvin brought his girl home the following week and happily introduced her. She was Selene. And she was the beautiful nocturnal daughter of a mid-ranking official. Phenex and Malenia took a liking to her immediately. And shortly after, her parents arrived to introduce themselves. The parents spent the day getting acquainted. Typically, the Goetia married for political power and ranking. But things were gradually changing with this generation. For them, it was mere brownie points. They didn't give a damn. But one couldn't deny that marrying into power did help in times of crisis. After all, this was Hell. Scheming and pulling the strings was anything but abnormal. Nonetheless, Kelvin and Selene began dating seriously. They already had marriage in mind, though it was years away.

A note from the author: I'm sure everyone knows temperature is measured in Celsius and Fahrenheit. However, there is a third temperature scale known as Kelvin. This is the SI system. It's more accurate than the traditional scales. Its origin is absolute zero or 0 K. Kelvin gives the thermodynamic temperature.
