Hound Family

After a few months, Loona finally had twins, a girl and a boy. She and Vortex named their daughter Vivian and their son Lycan. After a week in the hospital, they were cleared to go home. Luckily, everything was in place for the new family members (aside from needing a second crib since twins weren't expected). Loona took it easy for a few days while Vortex took care of the heavier housework.

Word spread fast. And exactly another week later, Blitzo saw his grandkids for the first time. They were absolutely adorable. Being curious little children, they were immediately all over him. He fussed over them and offered to babysit when his daughter and son-in-law needed a few hours to themselves. The thought of him looking after small children wasn't the most comforting. But Loona knew him. He was a good father. Just bad at most other things aside from murder. With her testimony, Vortex also agreed to let him look after the pups as long as he didn't leave the house with them. They were too young for city adventures. Blitzo was already making plans on how to spend time with his grandkids.

Vivian grew up with a bit of a girly side. She loved dresses and dolls from the beginning. Like her mom, she knew what she liked and always looked forward to shopping trips. Her birthday presents always included a new outfit or a new accessory to spice up a current one. As she grew older, her taste became pastel goth. Black went with everything, including her favorite colors, pink and purple. Vivian clearly had an eye for fashion. But she was also more practical in her attire. When she was old enough, she started exploring jobs in the fashion industry. She began by presenting ideas for employee uniforms at a small store. Soon, Vivian was on her way to bigger and better things. Her big debut was designing an entire wardrobe for Grandma Verosika. And it was a great hit.

Lycan began teething early, and it wasn't long before almost every piece of furniture had tiny bite marks. While adorable, it was also troublesome. After an incident where he almost gnawed through a table leg, Vortex let himself become a chew toy. He didn't mind. It was better than the table falling on his son. Luckily, Lycan quickly overcame this phase. But his teeth were still sharp enough to snap a chair into pieces. His bite force was incredible. By the time he was a teen, his main hobby was woodworking. He started by carving small figures out of fallen tree branches in the park. Lycan also grew to love camping and was outdoors often. He became a survivalist and made sure his sister at least knew the basics. If he wasn't home, he was usually in nature and hunting. Hell had a few large forests. One near the house was like his second home. With permission from mom and dad, Lycan built himself a hideout. It also served as a safe house in case something happened at home.

Loona and Vortex watched their little pups grow into fearsome adolescents and capable adults. By now, they had proudly earned their own kill count and added to it every week. They made a great team, literally a killer combo, and were rarely seen far apart. Lycan kept an eye on his big sister. Vortex had given him security guard training, and it paid off. When Vivian was working more high-profile jobs, he always accompanied her. And likewise, she had her little brother's back. She had a better sense of social order and often kept him out of trouble. Together the two went through a lot and made names for themselves. They became well known. Vivian was asked to work for the rich and powerful. But she immediately declined. She knew how her kind was treated. And she wasn't going to support it. Not only that, but the job offer meant leaving her brother and their parents for the big city. No way.
