Some Goetia were blessed (or cursed) with a natural affinity for fire and flames. Phenex was one such Goetia. He grew up in a much hotter area of Hell, specifically somewhere in the Wrath Ring. His powers came to light when he accidentally set an abandoned building on fire in fear of the Exorcists. It hadn't taken him long for him to realize his potential. Phenex grew fast and moved to a more comfortable region of Hell overlooking Pentagram City. He wasn't too fond of social gatherings. But being nearby was convenient.
