The Spider and the Deer

Angela Dust and Alastor had recently started dating. It had only been a few months, and it wasn't easy. Porn Studios wasn't a great place to work. But Angela was sitting at the top. So, she could pull some strings to take days off for dates and other relationship things. Still, it sucked, And she had plans to get the Hell out of there. Alastor helped from his end by gradually sowing the seeds of despair and mistrust. Angela rallied her coworkers. She knew they hated working at Porn Studios too. They met at the new hotel once a week. Alastor joined these meetings. As her boyfriend, he was ready to support her. He wasn't a fan of Porn Studios either. So, they worked together to free everyone.

Along the way, Alastor took Angela out on more dates. Her job was very stressful. And she needed to let loose more often. Sometimes he drove her around to pick fights for no reason. Or, for a saner outlet, he took her to the firing range. As a former mafia member, she knew how to fire a gun. And she never missed. Angela could also throw one mean uppercut that could break a jaw (having four arms helped a lot). Some dates were purely shopping and full of eating away the stress. A last resort was drinking the night away and crashing at one of their houses.

Eventually, the two moved forward with their scheme to tear down Porn Studios. Part of the next step was moving in together. If they lived together, it lessened the chances for the company to butt into Angela's personal life. Because things would have to go through Alastor as well. By now, Angela and her coworkers were also ready. And there were rumors about Porn Studios around. The establishment was gradually losing credibility. The number of customers decreased ever so slowly every other week.

Alastor was planning something else. He didn't want Angela just to be his girlfriend. But that would be resolved in time. He had already made progress by living as one. He could wait.
