Tana enters the room wearing a white blouse, her hair cascading in beautiful brown waves down her shoulders. My heart pounds as Gordon stands to greet her, kissing her on the cheek and offering her a seat beside him, closest to the host. Tana settles in the chair, smiling at Abel, and then me.

As Jeff welcomes and thanks Tana, I take some deep breaths. I don't know how I started this interview so confidently kissing Gordon, but as soon as his wife walks in, my nerves fray. No matter how kind she has been to me, I still feel intimidated by her.

"So how do you feel being a part of a four-person relationship?" Jeff asks.

"Make that five," Tana says with a smile.

Jeff's jaw practically drops. "What? Who's the fifth?"

"My boyfriend, whom I have been with since before Gordon and I got together," Tana responds.

"W-what?!" Jeff looks boggled, then slaps his cheeks one after the other. "So I'm not dreaming... You're serious? A five-person relationship? This is not just unconventional, it's downright unheard of! You can make that work?"

"It's been working for quite some time," Tana's voice resonates with conviction, "and I have no reason to believe it can't continue to work with the addition of (Y/N) and her fiancé. As long as we approach it with respect, honesty, and open communication, why not? Who says that love can only exist within the boundaries of convention?"

Jeff takes a moment to process the magnitude of what he just heard. "Well, anything is possible, but you're forging a new path, and all eyes will be on you guys to see if this will last or become the subject of the worst divorce court battle in history."

Gordon asserts, "Look, we know there'll be skeptics and hurdles thrown our way, but we're committed to standing by each other and proving that unconventional relationships can flourish."

"Well, consider my mind thoroughly blown. Wow." Jeff whistles through his teeth. "Mind if I ask a few more questions?"

"Of course," Tana says, smiling. I listen, allowing my nerves to fade into the background as I concentrate on her.

"Mostly, I'm curious about your feelings on this whole relationship between your husband, his girlfriend, and her fiancé. Is sharing your husband's affection really something you're happy with?"

"Gordon and I have been in a relationship since 1996, and I was with my boyfriend since before then. This is the first time we've ever publicly mentioned him, and I won't be giving his name since he enjoys a quieter existence than Gordon and myself, but we know this sort of arrangement can work."

She pauses, a thoughtful expression crossing her face.

"Gordon has always needed lots of affection, and while I provide ample when he's home, he has so many other commitments that I just can't be there for. We discussed the idea of adding another woman into the Ramsay family, but she would have to be perfect, and I suppose that's why it's taken us so long to find her."

"Someone like (Y/N)?" Jeff asks.

Tana's attention shifts from Jeff to me. Her eyes crinkle in the corners as she gives me a genuine smile. "After what Gordon has told me about her, I couldn't have dreamed up a more perfect girlfriend for my husband, as backward as that sounds. She's respectful and considerate, kind and compassionate, and I know she loves him. Not to mention she provides excellent accompaniment to him in the kitchen."

My anxiety melts away at her words. Tana really thinks so highly of me? She must, to trust me with Gordon. I decide that I need to spend time with her one-on-one so that she stops feeling like a stranger and more like the wonderful friend I'm sure she could be.
