Chapter 1: Epitome of Late City Nights

Mikha's POV

I am currently inside Bloom's, it's located near our school. Colet and Sheena are here beside me. Our faces are grim, unlike the bright sunny day. We're waiting for Maloi. As usual, she's always late.

I hate theater training sometimes because I'm prone to ankle injuries. Just like now, I'm wearing bandage on my left ankle. Nagkamali bagsak ko sa rehearsals namin, and of course, my friends laughed at me first bago ako tulungan.

Colet came to our house earlier. Sobrang aga niya akong binulabog, naapakan niya tuloy itong paa ko when she dived into my bed para samahan akong matulog. Among the four of us, Colet and I are the closest. She's like a real sister to me.

Nakapangalumbaba ako habang ang dalawa ay walang ganang humihigop sa kape nila. Pare-parehong salubong ang mga kilay namin.

We're still in the same position when Maloi arrived. Unlike the three of us, she's wearing her usual bright smiles that radiates energy. She's the sunshine of the group.

"Mukhang good na good ang morning niyo ah!" she teased.

"I guess, I woke up at the wrong side of the bed." Sheena answered shortly.

"Baka naman you woke up on the wrong bed?" Maloi said suggestively, binato lang siya ni Colet ng tissue.

Parang wala akong naririnig na panunukso because I was just staring at them blankly.

"Entering Senior High School sucks, I'm just glad we're classmates." Sheena whispered.

"Clingy mo naman!" Colet bantered.

 
"I can't wait to see Stacey again tomorrow." Maloi said dreamily, she must be imagining how Stacey looks. I rolled my eyes and took a sip on my milk.

"You saw her na? Hindi ba we're looking for her earlier but we failed. Hindi yata same schedule natin sa mga Grade 10." I asked Maloi. I'm just a bit curious about this girlie Maloi's talking about.

 
"Yes, I saw her. Bro, she's mine!" Maloi shouted at me trying to gate keep the girl. I shook my head because of her childish behavior.
