Chapter 9: Flashbacks and In Denials

Mikha's POV

Two years since Aiah left and I'm stuck here wondering why she didn't say anything to me. I know for a fact that we're not friends and the only thing that connects us is Colet pero pakiramdam ko, ang unfair lang na alam ng buong barkada except for me and Jhoanna na missing in action na.

I felt the urge of visiting her facebook account kaya kinuha ko ang cellphone ko at pumunta sa profile niya. She changed her hair from straight black into wavy blond at mas pumuti pa siya kahit dalawang taon palang siya doon. I checked her stories and saw that she made some friends already.

It looks like she's living the best life there. I smiled bitter. Happy for her.

I'm in my freshman year now, taking up BS Entrepreneurship and I'm planning to major both in operations and marketing. People often say business related courses are underrated here in the Philippines but for an elite family like us, I have no choice. Soon enough, I'll take my dad's position to our companies across Asia.

I didn't realize na I was staring at her profile picture too long na pala. I went back to reality when Sheena's calling.

"Hey!" I greeted.

"Come outside, bro. We here." she shouted over the phone.

I stood up and went downstairs, pinapasok na pala sila ng guard. It's just the three of them, Stacey and Gwen are probably busy with school. Graduating na rin pala sila ng senior high school.

"Ba't may dala kayong whiskey? Aren't you guys busy with school shits?" I asked them.

 
"Nah, done with my plates." Colet simply answered at nauna nang umakyat sa room ko.

"Grabe! It's not the same anymore ever since Jho and Aiah left 'no?" Maloi said out of nowhere. Ramdam ko na natahimik lalo si Colet and I let out a heavy sigh.

 
"For the sake of this conversation, sasali ako sa pagluluksa mo, Maloi." Sheena joked and took a shot of whiskey.

 
"I don't know tho, andaming nangyayari. Kung padamihan ng red flags, ilalaban ko si Mikha." she added and smirked at me.
