Mikha's POV

"One more bottle then let's rest na." I told Colet and opened our canned beers.

"Miss mo na agad pinsan ko? Grabe namang pagkabaliw 'yan, Mikhs!" she laughs. I shook my head and smiled, the imprints of loving Aiah manipulated me in a way that she became my very standard.

"I have something to tell you, Col." we're both drunk but sober enough to have a proper conversation. I believe this is the perfect timing to talk about what I've been through eight years ago.

Colet looked at me as if she's waiting for my next statement. I let out a heavy sigh.

"Alright, I used to be so in love with Jhoanna." I closed my eyes and waited a punch from her but then, I heard her laughing. I slowly open my eyes to see Colet's reaction.

"Buddy, I already knew it. I was just waiting for you to tell me." she replied.

"Huh? How?" I asked her confusingly.

"Come on! I've known you since we were kids. Observing you before, I know Jhoanna got your attention too. If you just told me that you like her before, I will give way for you. Bro, our friendship is too precious and I won't let anyone destroy it." she said.

"I gave way because I know Jhoanna's safe with you. Look, if it didn't happened, I won't be able to meet the love of my life. My heartbreak is worth it because it led me to your cousin." I told her. Amusement written all over her face.

The first love was too early, I was young back then. The second told me that I was a bit late, I never got to confess my feelings towards Jhoanna. But there's Aiah, she made me feel that I was just right on time.

Colet and I both enjoyed the silence that the night is giving us. The waves of the beach are loud, it's giving an elyu vibe. This night is perfect. I'm with my best friend, my ride or die.

"May I just ask, do you still love Jhoanna?" she suddenly asked.
