Aiah's POV
Early this morning, I received a text message from an unknown number.
You are cordially invited to attend a grand masquerade, tomorrow, 7pm. We hope to see you there.
It was then that I heard my door being banged with such superior strength. I went to the door and saw the girls in their supposed second attempt to knock at the door.
"Girls, you could have used the doorbell." Gwen then rolled her eyes at me. "We did Aiah, for five times already." she said.
"Anyways did you have breakfast already?" Jhoanna asked and I shook my head.
"Then, it is your lucky day that we brought you one." Stacey replied cheerfully and handed me my breakfast.
It was then that I remembered receiving a weird message from my phone.
"Girls, by any chance do you receive an anonymous invitation today?" I curiously asked.
"About what?" And I showed her the text to which her eyes suddenly glimmered.
"Oh you received this from the town. It usually invites single people that is why I was not able to receive one unlike before. For sure it is sponsored by one of the rich." Gwen winked at me.
"Do you think I should go?" I asked them.
"You should!" They said enthusiastically. I found it weird kasi parang they're pushing me talaga to go to that event.
"But isn't it kinda fast? I mean I do not have enough time to find for a dress when the ball is tomorrow night." I asked them again. Well, looking for a perfect dress is much stressful than studying cases. Parang mas gugustuhin ko nalang manatili sa office ko at umpisahang basahin ang mga kaso na hahawakan ko.
