Chapter 45: We Need To Talk

Jeremy's POV

Mag-lisang buwan kong kinukumbinsi si Aiah na payagan akong manligaw sakanya. But kahit anong effort ko, she's just unbreakable. I don't know what's stopping her from letting me, but it must be something heavy.

She told me to just stop. But I told her that I will wait until she's ready to open her heart for me.
Was I too fast? Have I fallen a little too quick? It was my second day here in the Philippines when I first saw her walking alone in the hallways of her firm. She's strikingly beautiful. She's an angel in my eyes.

I have attempted multiple times to talk to her but I just can't do it. So in a way, the work in Davao was a big blessing. I was given a chance to finally be close to her. Well, except that our first meeting was not that good. Ako kasi yung sumipa noon ng bola nung nasa field sila ni Mikha.

I was a given a chance to know her more. I was given a chance to fall for her. It felt like falling in a cliff. One step, and I'm already in the deep.

"Hi." Bati ko sakanya ng nakangiti habang may hawak-hawak na bouquet of roses.

Ngumiti rin naman siya but it was just a small smile. She hasn't given me that kind of smile na binibigay niya kapag si Mikha ang kasama niya. Iyong umaabot sa mata. Iyong nakikita kong parang nagniningning yung mga mata niya.

I never had that.

Is it bad? Is it bad na nagseselos ako kay Mikha? I envy her for making Aiah that happy. Her other best friends, kahit na best friends din sila ni Aiah, can't make her that happy. Her happiness with Mikha is a happiness na parang... Iba.

Parang in love.

I wanted to assume na maybe, it was Mikha making her stop to let me court her completely. But is it possible?

They're both girls. I know that Mikha's bisexual. But... Is it possible?!

"Hello, Jeremy." she greeted me.

"Here, for you." I handed her the bouquet and she hesitated at first to accept it.
