*Anastasia's POV*

After Christmas was over, it was now time for New Year's Eve.
I offered my mom to celebrate new year's somewhere else, instead of staying at home. So we ended up going to a Restaurant, and afterwards we would go to the Bowling Center, after that we would come back home so that my mom can have some rest while me and my sisters would go to a nightclub.

Tonight I'm wearing a black-glittery dress with some black high heels, my curled hair in a high ponytail.
We just finished eating our food at the Restaurant and are now headed to the Bowling Center. I offered to pay for everything, since my mother is having financial difficulties, she didn't want to at first but I insisted, good thing that I did.

As soon as we arrived at the Bowling Center, we took our shoes and started playing and joking around, having fun.
We stayed there for about two hours, it was now 11:30 p.m, soon it's midnight... so me and my sisters walked over to the bar and ordered some drinks, so that we can celebrate New Year's as soon as it's midnight. We also grabbed some snacks and walked back to our seats, and started chatting, waiting for the countdown to begin.

"HAPPY NEW YEAR!" everyone shouted, I then hugged my mom and my sisters wishing them a Happy New Year.

We then started sipping our drinks, until we finished everything and walked outside to watch the fireworks explode in the night sky of Minnesota.
I immediately grabbed my phone and sent a message to Michael:

'Happy New Year, Michael. -AJ'

After staying outside for a few minutes, we decided to accompany our mom back to the apartment.
Once we've done that, we made our way to the nightclub.

As soon as we arrived, I grabbed my sisters and pushed them to the dance floor with me, starting to dance and going crazy.
Afterwards we went to the bar, taking a seat on the high-chairs ordering some drinks and chatting about how my life has been since I left Minnesota.

"So what are you doing now? Are you working somewhere?" Ashley - my younger sister - asked, I almost choke on my drink.
"Uhmm... yea, yes I'm working." I simply said, they both lifted one of their brows, longing to know more. "As a Security... for... a celebrity." I added, taking a sip from my drink.
"A celebrity? Who?" Amber - my older sister - asked confused,
"Uhmmmm..." I said smiling like an idiot, should I tell them? I don't want them to freak out in the club. "Promise me you two won't freak out if I tell you." I said looking at both of them, they both nodded. I took a deep breath. "Michael Jackson." I snapped.

Their jaws almost dropped on the floor, their eyes wide open. I couldn't help but giggle. Yep, they're speechless.... for now.

"You what?!?!??" Ashley almost shouted,
"Shhhhh." I said bringing up my index finger on my lips, signing her to shut the fuck up.
"Michael? That Michael Jackson? The King Of Pop?" Amber asked, still in shock. I giggled and nodded.
"When did you start?" Ashley asked. I took another sip of my drink before replying to her question.
"September." I said, they both looked at each other still with wide eyes.
"And ..." Amber started, "how... how is he?" she asked with a smirk plastered on her face.
"Amber!" I whined, making the three of us laugh. "Now stop asking questions, let's get back to dancing." I said, grabbing both their hands and walking back to the dance floor, starting to dance again.

As soon as my body started to groove to the music, I felt two big hands on my hips, I immediately turned around and notice some guy behind me pulling me closer to him. I stepped back and slapped him in the face, looking at him with a serious look.

"Don't you dare to touch me again." I spitted before walking further away with my sisters.

*Michael's POV*

As soon as it was midnight I wished my family a Happy New Year, before taking a sip of the champagne.
Shortly after, I've got a message on my phone from Anastasia:

'Happy New Year, Michael. -AJ'

This had me smiling like an idiot. I immediately replied back,

'Happy New Year to you too, Anastasia. Stay safe. -MJ'

As soon as I've done that, I walked outside with Janet to watch the colourful fireworks in the sky.
I then started to imagine how it would've been if Anastasia would've been here with me, in a split second I found myself smiling like an idiot.

"What are you smiling about?" Janet asked in a playful tone, I looked over to her.
"Pardon?" I asked, she giggled.
"I said what are you smiling about?" she repeated.
"Has there to be a reason to smile, Dunk?" I asked and chuckled.
"Uhhh yea? I mean, why would you look at the fireworks and smile without a reason?" she said before bursting out in laughter.
"You're right." I said and turned my face to watch at the fireworks again, shortly after she slapped my arm. "Ouh... what was that for?" I whined.
"Tell me." she said with a smile on her face, I rolled my eyes. "Is it about a girl?" she asked, and that's where I started blushing and smiling again, her eyes went wide. "I knew it... who is she?" she then asked.
"You don't know her." I said.
"Well, tell me." she insisted. I sighed.
"It's the new Security... Ana-" she interrupted me before I could even finish to mention her name,
"Anastasia?" she asked, I looked at her with a confused look. "You're the King Of Pop, Mike... I know everything." she said shrugging her shoulders.
"Well, yes, it's her." I stated.
"And where is she now? Why isn't she here?" she then asked, at that point my smile slightly disappeared.
"She's with her family in Minnesota." I simply said, before walking over to a bench and taking a seat, followed by my sister who now sat next to me.
"Hm..." she said, I looked at her.
"What?" I asked,
"Did you at least tell her how you feel?" she then asked,
"Don't start with that, Janet, please. You'll be the third one to tell me..." I then said before releasing a deep sigh.
"Okay, I won't... but you know what to do." she said shrugging her shoulders, before we both looked up at the sky again.

She clearly noticed that I was sad,

"Call her." she then said, I snapped my head to look at her, lifting one of my brows. "Call her, c'mon." she repeated and smiled at me, before walking in the house leaving me alone.

I probably should... but what if she's with her family right now? I obviously didn't care, since I was already holding my phone on my ear, waiting for her to pick up. After a few seconds the mailbox started talking. Weird, she always picks up when I call. I'll just try again later.

I then decided to grab Prince and Debbie and go back to the Ranch.
Once we've arrived, I put Prince to sleep and walked into my bedroom to change and tuck myself under the bedsheets. It was already 2 a.m, and Anastasia still didn't call back. Should I worry?
