End Game

Lizzie's POV.

Two weeks have passed since Valentina and Chad's break-up. The first few days it was hard to see her so broken but with time she seems to have improved, she is not crying anymore and she is more willing to go out. She was staying with me at my house for a while, the best days without any doubt. We have become closer and I have been able to know things about Valentina, like she likes bitter chocolate ice cream, she has to listen to music every day, she loves to sing, she likes the cold more than the heat, she is quite passionate about what she likes and many more things I have been able to know about her thanks to the time we have been spending together.

The last week she hasn't stayed at my house, she comes over and we do the usual things like watch movies or look at the stars or just enjoy each other's company but in the end she leaves. Lately she has started going out more, she goes out to restaurants and clubs often. She has invited me most of the time and I have gone once in a while because she insists that she doesn't have the same fun when I'm not around. I'm not a girl who loves to party all the time and I don't think she does either but I feel like she is currently enjoying being single and doing what she wants to do.

I'm glad that she feels free and can do what she wants without having to think that someone is going to treat her badly. But I miss her, I know she spends time with me but I wish it was more it makes me feel a bit sad that she's not with me.

Although she has kept her promise to spend time with me, it hasn't been the same for a week now.

Sometimes I worry when she goes out partying because I don't want anything bad to happen to her or anyone to take advantage of her, the only thing that calms me is knowing that Madelaine is with her all the time looking after her.

So now I am waiting for her, she said she will be here at my house in a few minutes so I don't think it will be long, I am very excited to see her and spend time with her.

Five minutes passed and the door rattled, I ran out to the door and opened it, there she was with her beautiful smile. She had a beautiful outfit I think it's too much to just hang out with me at home but I don't mind because I can admire her even more.

"Hello there" she says giving me a hug.
"Hi there" I said hugging her back.
Her perfume entered me, leaving a feeling of pleasure in my nose. She always smells so good.
"So what movie are we watching tonight?" She says walking down the hallway of my house.
"I have a few in mind, come on I'll show you" I said taking her hand and leading her to my living room.

We saw two films because neither of us could agree on which one we should see, so in order to leave no option out we saw both.

We talked about the films for a while and we both agreed that the best film was the one Valen had chosen.

"Can I have a glass of water?" She says.
"Sure."

We both walked to the kitchen and I poured her a glass of cold water.

"Thank you" she said after taking a sip.
"So do you want me to make dinner now or later?" I asked.
"Actually I can't stay for long, I'm having dinner with some friends and then we're going to this club."
"Oh... okay" I said disappointed.
It's not that I don't want her to go with her friends it's just that I thought tonight we would be together.
"I'm sorry. I wish I could stay and eat your delicious food but I already confirmed to them that I was going and it's too late to cancel." She says taking my face in her hands.
"Yeah, you should go and not keep your friends waiting," I said pulling away from her.

I was so annoyed that she would rather go and not stay with me. I mean I know she sees me as her friend but it hurts me that she doesn't spend time with me like before.
