Lizzie's POV.

"Oh my god, S I missed you so much" I say to my best friend.
"I missed you too... Valen it's so nice to see you again" my best friend says after giving me a hug.
"It's nice to see you too S, how's work going?" Valen asks after giving Scarlett a hug to say hello.
We sit in the comfy armchairs in Valen's living room.
"Everything is going well at work, I'm not acting on any projects right now."
"How's the skincare line going?" I asked.
"As I said everything is going very well, it's quite a lot of work and testing to make everything safe for each person's skin, but it's quite fun" S says passionately.
"That's great, I'm very proud of you" I let her know.
"What about you girls? Any projects you're going to start working on?"
"Well I've been reading some proposals that have come my way but I haven't chosen any yet...what about you babe?" I said.
"Well for now I'm not casting or looking for any acting projects, I think I'll take some time off from that, I'll probably dedicate a year and a half or two to my business, I want to improve even more if possible all my business."

That surprised me, she hadn't discussed that with me before and it's not like she has to ask my permission but I wish I had known that before.

"You didn't tell me that" I said quickly.
"Well that's because I hadn't made the decision yet love, but after talking to my family I think that's the best decision I can make for now" she explained.
"It's actually a good idea... by the way when is the premiere of your series?" Scarlett jumped at the question.
"I think it's in a month" I said.
"Oh that's very cool, are you girls excited?"
"Oh god I'm so excited, you have no idea" Valen says clapping his hands in excitement.
"I'm so excited too"
"Is there going to be another season?" S asks curious.
"We don't know yet, we have to wait to see how this season does and I guess they will make a decision there" I explained.

Before Valentina could say anything else her phone started to vibrate, she took it out of her pocket and answered the call.

V-"hello there".
V-"okay, sure."
V-"stay on my way, I'll see you in fifteen minutes".
V-"okay, love you too, bye."

She sighed and lifted her gaze connecting with mine giving me a small smile.

"I'm so sorry girls for cutting this short but I have to go".
"Where are you going love?" I asked worriedly.
"Kylie called, so I need to go to her house...but I'll be back as soon as I can."
"Is everything okay with your sister?" I asked still worried.
"Yeah I think so, I just really need to go" she says standing up from the couch heading towards me.
"Please take care of yourself and come back to me soon" I said looking up at her.
"I promise angel" she says giving me a kiss on my head.

She then walks over to Scar who stands up to hug her goodbye.

"Oh my god Valen, you smell too delicious, what perfume do you wear?" S says making her laugh.
"That's a secret I'll never tell"
"Don't insist S, she will never tell you, I don't even know which one she wears and I'm her girlfriend" I assure her.
"Oh come on, someone has to know what perfume you wear" Scarlett insisted.
"Not that I remember.... Okay I have to go, I'll see you guys later and make yourselves comfortable" Valen replied.

She left the house and I could hear she sped off in her car because I could hear the car's accelerator beeping and the tyres screeching. I guess Scar noticed my concern.

"Hey is everything alright?" She asked.
"Yeah."
"Come on Lizzie, I know you well, tell me what's going on, is everything okay with Valentina?"
"Yeah, she's amazing, I'm very happy with her and I think she's the one" I said confidently.
"So? Why are you worried?"
"I know she's struggling with something but I don't know what it is."
"What do you mean by that?" my best friend says confused.
"Well I overheard her talking to Kylie about a problem she was having but they didn't go into detail, I know it's something worrying because Kylie was freaking out about it."
"Did you talk to Valentina about it?"
"No, I'm waiting for her to come to me and tell me, I don't want to push her to talk if she's not ready."
"Okay I understand, what do you think they were talking about?" S asks now worried.
"I have no idea, it could be anything, she could be in trouble with some company, or someone friends, I don't know and it's stressing me out" I said putting my hands on my head.
"Hey breathe, whatever is going on it can't be that bad, give her time to come to you" Scar reassures me.
"Yeah you're right, it can't be that bad".

We stood there talking for hours, I really missed sharing time with my best friend, she always helps me think clearer and calm my nerves. She left after we had dinner, so now I'm here waiting for my girlfriend to arrive so we can sleep together.

I watch two movies until I finally hear her footsteps coming up the stairs to her room.

"Hey my love" she says softly looking up at me with a smile.
"Hey baby, how did it go at your sister's?"
She walks over to the bed and crawls in it until she is next to me sighing.
"Well, I couldn't say it went as I expected" she says with a gesture that I can't quite understand.
"What do you mean?" I said furrowing my eyebrows in confusion.

"Kylie broke up with Travis and she's pretty upset," she explains.
"Oh my god, that's so sad, what happened?"
"Kylie caught him cheating on her."
"Oh lord."
"She's devastated and I really feel bad for her, she didn't deserve something like that, now she's trying to find a way to co-parent with him."
"That really sucks, do your kids know about this?" I asked gently.
"No, we decided it's best not to say exactly what happened, Stormi is too young to suffer for her father's mistakes and Aire is still too young to understand what's going on."
"Are you okay?" I said seeing the look of sadness on her face.
"Yeah, it just hurts me to see my sister suffer, I guess all of us are destined to have that kind of shit happen to us" okay that hurt but I understand that she is reliving what I did to her through her sister.
"I'm sorry" I whispered.
"I know baby, I'm sorry for saying that" she gives me a kiss on my cheek.
"Are you ready for your birthday?" I ask and she shrugs her shoulders. "Hey what's up?" I asked confused.
"I always get nostalgic around this time, I miss my parents, they should be here with me celebrating my birthday."
"I know, I'm sorry honey" I said putting my hand on her cheek and gently rubbing it with my thumb.
"I love you" she said looking into my eyes with tears in hers, I felt like she was having a battle inside her but I moved that thought out of my head.
"I love you more...now let's go to sleep"
