My tears ricochet

Valentina's POV.

Lizzie is leaving tonight, the feeling I have is something I've never felt before, it's like a part of me is leaving with her. It's so weird.

"I'm going to miss you like crazy" I said kissing her head many times, she is laying on me while we watch tv in my room.
"Baby I promise the weeks will pass soon and when we least think about it you're going to be with me back in LA" she says lifting her gaze to connect her green eyes with mine.
"I'm scared."
"What are you afraid of love?" She asks with worried eyes.
"I don't want to lose you and the fact that you're going back to LA with him is fucking with my head"
"If I were you I wouldn't worry so much about it...I will talk to him as soon as I get to LA...I promise you, you have nothing to worry about" she says connecting our lips in a sweet kiss.
"I can't wait to call you mine"
"I can't wait for you to call me yours" she says biting my bottom lip.

Lunch time came and Lizzie took over my kitchen like it was hers telling the chefs they could leave because she was going to cook for me. I love that she feels so comfortable in my home.

She cooked a delicious pita, she really cooks delicious, I am so happy when she cooks for me, it's a nice way to show me her love.

"What time is your flight?" I asked.
"7pm, are you going with me?"
"Of course honey" I said giving her a kiss on her cheek.
"What time is Mads going to arrive?" She asks me.
"I think she arrives at the time you're leaving so I can drive you to the airport and pick her up there at once."

The rest of the day consisted of hugs and kisses, it was like we didn't want to take off from each other, I know I'm going to miss her too much I just hope these four weeks go by fast.

All of Lizzie's bags were already in the trunk of my car, I was feeling homesick I really don't want her to leave.

Our drive to the airport was quiet, just us listening to the music coming out of the speakers as Lizzie had her hand intertwined with mine in her lap while her thumb gently caressed my knuckles.

I pulled up and turned to look at her our eyes watering, I didn't think this would be so hard.

"I love you Valen" She whispered looking into my eyes.
"I love you Lizzie" I whispered back.
"I need these weeks to go by fast, I don't know what I'll do without your kisses, without your hugs, without you."
"I'm sure they will go by fast baby, just promise me you'll be waiting for me" I said looking at her hopefully.
"I promise" she says then kisses me passionately, both of us melting her in the kiss. "Okay I think I have to go or I'll miss my flight.
"Okay" I said pouting.

We both get out of the car and I help her get all her bags out of the trunk. We hugged for a couple of minutes before saying goodbye.

"See you in a few weeks" she says.
"I love you" I said to her.
"I love you more" she says giving me a quick peak before people start to notice who we are.
"Text me when you land."
"Okay, I will."

I watched her disappear into the crowd going unnoticed thanks to the cap she was wearing. I waited a while longer until Mads finally came out, she hugged me tightly and we got into my car.

Lizzie's POV.

My sisters lent me their plane so it didn't take me long to get on it, I'm sad that I had to leave Valen there but I have to work. I sent Boyd a text telling him I was on my way to LA and that we needed to talk, he replied that he needed to talk to me too and asked if we could meet for lunch the next day to which I agreed.

I closed my eyes and slept until we landed, my heart feels a little heavy.
