Look after you

Lizzie's POV.

It's been a week since I asked Valentina to be my girlfriend again and it's been the best days. We have spent a lot of time together, we have gone to my family's company and she has come up with lots of ideas for new clothes designs that the twins have loved and of course I have loved too.

Right now we are getting ready to go to the family dinner at Kylie's, we will meet the whole family there. I'm not going to lie I'm a bit nervous because I know they are very protective of Valen, just as it should be. I don't want them to hate me for what I did or not approve of our relationship.

"Hey angel, you're overthinking, don't worry everything will be fine" she says as if she can read my thoughts.
"Okay" I sighed and continued doing my makeup.

I'm still nervous even though my girlfriend assured me that everything would be fine, I mean her sisters and her have a reputation as mean girls and that intimidates me a little bit. I really hope everything goes well.

I'm also a little stressed because Valen said it was casual but knowing her and her sisters, I never know how casual things are for them.

Sometimes they say casual and go super fancy, so I hope what I'm going to wear goes with the occasion.

Once I am ready I go down to the living room where my girlfriend is already waiting for me, she for the first time is ready before me.

"Oh my god babe, you look beautiful" she says coming up to me.
Looking at her outfit I realized that it was really casual.

"Don't you think it's too much?"
"Of course not, you look perfect" she says giving me a peck on the lips.
"You look beautiful too, my love" I said on top of her lips.
She pulls away a little.
"Are you ready to go?"
"Yep" I say taking her hand to leave her house.

She drove to her sister's house and once we got there my nerves got the better of me, she took my hand again giving it a gentle squeeze making me feel better. She rang the doorbell and seconds later the door opened.

"Auntie Valen, you are finally here!" Little Stormi says running into her aunt's arms.
"Hey cutie, oh god I missed you so much" Valen says carrying the little girl.
"I missed you too, can we go on a trip together?"
"Of course we can"
"YAY!"
I am so lost in the image in front of me, she is so good with the kids and they adore her. I can't wait to be able to have a family with her. WOW. Lizzie calm down you don't even know if she wants that with you.
"Hello there Lizzie" the little girl says snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Hi there little girl."
"It's good to see you" the little girl adds before getting out of her aunt's arms and running inside the house.

We entered the house and it smelled delicious, the food was freshly cooked and it made my stomach rumble.

"Someone's hungry" my girlfriend says.
"It smells delicious" I said with a giggle.

We walked into the dining room where Kris and all the sisters were already waiting for us, I could feel their stares on me for a second and I swallowed hard.

"Hello family"
"Finally! It took you long enough, you were even later than Kourtney and that's because she's a mum" Kim said jokingly making us all laugh.
"So before we start this dinner I want to let you know that Lizzie and I are back" she got straight to the point.
"If you guys are happy we are too, daughter," Kris says reassuringly.
"We support you in whatever decision you make, sis," Kendall says.
"I think I speak for all of us when I say we're happy that you guys are getting back together," she adds and everyone nods.
"That's a relief, I know I screwed up and I'm trying to make up for my mistake, I promise I'll never do it again" I say and they all nod.
"K let's get this dinner started" Valen says sitting next to Kylie and I sat on the other side of her.

dinner was quiet, we laughed and had a good time, we watched the children eating at the children's table and sometimes stopped talking to listen to the conversation they were having, which made us all melt with tenderness.

After we finished dinner we all went to the cinema room that Kylie had in her house and chose a movie to watch. The movie was halfway through when Valen stood up and went to the bathroom, minutes later Kylie did the same.

The movie ended and neither of them had returned so I decided to go and look for them, I looked everywhere inside the big house but I didn't see them, so I went to the backyard and there I found them. I stood in the doorway because I didn't want to interrupt them, they had their backs to me so they didn't know I was there.

"How are things going?" Kylie asks.
"Pretty good actually, the business is still coming in and my brands are doing really well."
"That's great...Valen I know you asked me to stay out of your problems but I'm worried about you...do you still feel the same about all that?"
I don't fucking understand what they're talking about, what problem? Why hasn't Valentina told me anything?
"You have nothing to worry about okay? I'll be fine, there was a moment when I changed my mind but now I'm more sure that I still feel the same way about all that" Valen assured her.
"That's what scares me" Kylie whispered.
What the hell is that? Why is Kylie freaking out about what she said? God I'm so confused.
"Anyway, how are things going with Lizzie?" Kylie changes the conversation.
"Everything's great, she's amazing" that made me feel a thousand butterflies.
"That's good."
"Yeah, her family's been good to me and they've even asked for my help with their company," Valen says with a smile.
"I'm glad everything is going the way you want it to."
"Yes, me too"

After listening I made my way to the rest of the family and decided to wait for her there.

Her family is very sweet to me, I thought it would be awkward after everything I did but they seem to have left everything in the past just like Valen and that makes me feel better.

The two sisters came back after a while, we stayed with their family until it got too late so we decided to go back to Valen's house.

We are now in the car, she is driving while the music is playing on the speakers, she is doing this little dance while driving and singing, I can swear it's one of the things I love to see her do the most, she dances like no one is there without a care in the world. So free.

Seeing her do that makes me smile right away. I know I say it a lot but I really feel so in love with her.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" she asks me.
"I just love you."
"I love you too" my tummy flips over hearing that.
"You know you can tell me everything right?" I said referring to the conversation I overheard her having with kylie earlier.
"I know love"

That was all she said and I decided not to push her anymore because I know she's not ready to talk about it with anyone else.
