Say it right

Lizzie's POV.

The night came and so did they, I don't know how to explain how I feel but seeing them arrive with a smile on their faces something in my body was on fire.

She was walking towards me but Kylie took her by the hand and took her to another room. When they came back they didn't give us time to talk because they all decided it would be good for a karaoke night.

Kylie was putting on quite a show while singing, Kris was pretty drunk by this point making us all laugh, I found Chace stealing glances at my girlfriend but she was oblivious to this.

When it was time to sing for Valen she decided to sing "say it right" by Nelly Furtado. The song started to play and she started to dance, all her sisters started to toast making her laugh. She started singing and my eyes were glued on her.

She was looking at me the whole time she was singing, it was like she was dedicating that song to me and I don't know how to feel about it. The lyrics are just awful if she's dedicating it to me.

She smiled at me as she sang, you know what? I think I'm overreacting, she couldn't be dedicating that song to me, she's probably enjoying the moment and the attention she's getting.

Once she finished singing she sat down next to me, we watched the twins sing and even my parents which made us laugh too much.

"Come, we need to talk," she says, taking my hand and leading me out of the room.

We walk to our room, I can feel her nerves, she is pacing back and forth in the room while biting her lip, seeing her like this scares me, I am sitting on the bed waiting for her to talk.

She finally sits down next to me looking at me, in her eyes I see worry. I just hope she doesn't tell me what I'm thinking she's going to tell me.

"I should have told you this long before but I didn't know how" she finally says.
"What are you talking about? Valen you're scaring me"
"Chace and I dated a few years ago, it wasn't like an official relationship, but there was something between the two of us."
"I knew that" I confessed.
"How?" She says confused.
"Chace mentioned it once at lunch."
"Why didn't you tell me then?"
"I wanted you to tell me."
She nods and sighs without saying anything.
"Something happened when you guys were out there alone?" I asked startled by her answer.
"Oh god no! He took me to a beautiful cabin, we were there admiring the amazing view and we were just talking, I told him about you, we just talked about our lives."
"Oh that's a relief, I was so scared of losing you" I said with tears in my eyes.
"Oh baby I would never be unfaithful to you, I could never do anything like that to you" she says hugging me.

I can finally breathe knowing that none of what I imagined really happened and that she just wants to be with me.

The week went by and we had a lot of fun, there was no lack of laughter and I can say that every day I spend with Valen I fall more in love with her.

It's been three weeks since we got back from Aspen, time seems to go by fast with her. We are about to celebrate six months of being together and they have been the best months of my life.

I just woke up and when I was going to greet my girlfriend she wasn't in bed, I was about to get out of bed to go look for her but just then she comes out of the bathroom already bathed and dressed.

"Good morning sleeping beauty" she says giving me a kiss on my forehead.
"Good morning my love... where are you going?"
"To your company"
"You mean my family's company" I tease her.
"Same thing" she rolls her eyes playfully.
"Can you take these papers my father asked me for" I asked standing up from the bed to get the papers.
"Of course love"
"I need you to deliver them personally to him, he just has to sign them, tell him I already read them and all he has to do is sign".
She nodded "okay baby, that's what I'll do".

Valentina's POV.

I took the papers from my girlfriend's hand and put them in the folder where I had other papers to give to my accountant.

I said goodbye to Lizzie and went straight to the company of her family, I have not been as happy as I am today, going so many months without sleep has been agony and trying not to wake Lizzie up with my crying has been a difficult but not impossible task.

Once inside the company, I greeted everyone who crossed my path as usual, I knocked on David's door and seconds later he opened it for me.

"It's so nice to see you here Valen" the man says.
"I can say the same.
"How are things going with Lizzie?"
"Everything is going perfect"
"Glad to hear that" the man says with a smile sitting back in his seat.
"Speaking of her, she sent you these papers with me, she said you didn't have to read them, she already did it for you and said it was all in order" I explained.
"Perfect, let's sign then"

I showed him where he had to sign and he did, after that he asked me the favour to leave the papers with his secretary.

My smile was getting bigger and bigger, I don't think anyone can understand the happiness I am feeling today, I think today will be the first day after several months that I will finally be able to sleep in peace.

After being at the company helping the twins with some problems I went to lunch with my lawyer, he is guiding me in some processes I am doing and I am very happy that he is helping me.

Things are looking perfect in my life now, I think I can finally move on. My life was a mess but now everything seems to make sense.

I'm going to make my parents proud and today finally after so many years I've made it, now it's just a matter of time before things start to happen. I just can't wait.
