End Game

Hardest to love

Lizzie's POV.

Two days later Dani came back to LA while Scarlett stayed with me for two more days as she had to take some pictures for the advertising campaign of a brand called Good American, she told me that the company is owned by khlóe kardashian so I guess Valentina knows all about this campaign as they are like family.

Scarlett told me to come with her later to take her pictures after I finished working of course I agreed because if I didn't she would probably kill me.

I got to work and when they left me ready to shoot I headed to the break room because I still had some time left before I had to start shooting. I walked into the room thinking I would be alone but no valentina was lying on the couch with Chad cuddling him.

They noticed my presence but ignored me as usual. I sat down on a couch not far from them and started reading a book of poetry that I had brought with me.

Valentina was laughing at the silly things he was saying to her that really weren't funny at all, I don't know why she got such a kick out of them, it was annoying.

After a few minutes they finally stopped laughing and let me read in peace.

"I don't know why I keep coming back to you" Valentina says looking into his eyes as she caresses his face drawing imaginary lines on it.
"I guess you don't love yourself enough" he says.
She heard that and looked at him in disbelief and sat up quickly. her face showed disappointment and pain.
I can't believe he actually said that to her. She has been there for him and he treats her so miserably.
"Oh come on baby it was a joke" Chad continued to say.
She stood up from the couch and started walking towards the exit.
"Love don't be mad. I was joking."
"Don't talk to me. I don't want to hear you" she says walking out of the place.

Ten minutes after that we were all on set ready to shoot today's scenes. Valentina didn't speak all day apart from her scenes and when she did they were short sentences. She looked pensive and frustrated. I know that what Chad said to her triggered something in her that was making her uncomfortable in some way.

In this scene Valentina would have to sing Better than feeling lonely by Olivia O'Brien as if she was singing it to her audience. She was alone in the room and then it would be edited to the audience when the scene was ready.

The music started to play and she got ready to sing. As she began to sing I realized that this song described the relationship she was having with Chad. Her gaze looked lost as she sang.

Her eyes started to get glossy the more she sang the song, it was obvious that she was affected by what happened with him.

She finished the song and when Pedro said cut she fell into tears. She was in a lot of pain and she doesn't deserve it. I was walking over to her to see if she was okay but Chace was quicker than me hugging her while she held onto his shirt as she tried to calm down. When she finally did everyone congratulated her on her great performance.

The makeup artists corrected Valentina's makeup and we continued shooting the rest of the day's scenes.

Valentina finished her scenes before me. Today she only had to shoot two scenes and I had to shoot four. I wanted to go and talk to her to see if she was okay but time did not allow it. When I finally managed to get off work I went to where the photos for the campaign Scar will participate in would be taken.

When I finally made it into the building I didn't see my best friend anywhere so I went to the room where the pictures were being taken. I could see the flashes coming through the door so I went in.

I didn't think I would find this when I entered the room. It was Valentina wearing Good American jeans. She was without a blouse or bra just her hands covering her breasts.

She was posing for the camera, she definitely knows what she is doing.  I made my way inside the room without making my presence known as my gaze remained glued on her.

She was having a good time laughing and posing as the flashes traveled towards her.

"You're doing amazing honey" I heard a woman say behind me making valentina turn to look in my direction.
"Oh my god. koko I thought you wouldn't be here" valentina says running up to the woman to hug her while khóe does the same.
"Are you crazy? I literally did this campaign in Toronto just so I could come see you sis" the woman says hugging Valentina.
"I missed you, how's the family?"
One of the staff gave Valentina a robe so she could cover up and be more comfortable.
"Everyone is fine, they can't wait to see you."

They started walking around the room and apparently I caught Valentina's attention because as soon as she saw me she let her discomfort be known.

"What is she doing here?"
"I don't know" khlóe says.
"She's coming with me, is there a problem with that?" Scar says walking into the room.
"S! Of course not, if she comes with you everything is fine" valentina says hugging my best friend.

After that awkward moment Valentina and Scarlett started taking pictures together, they looked like they were having a good time, they both looked beautiful. I tried not to look too much at Valentina because I didn't want her to think I was a freak but it seemed like my eyes were handling themselves because my gaze was glued on her.

"Valentina was born for this" khlóe says standing next to me.
"Yeah, it looks like it" I said.
"My sister Kim from the moment she saw her modeling she knew she was made for this life."
"How did she know?" I asked.
"Kim is like Valentina they were both born for this life so I guess as soon as my sister saw her she knew instantly."
I nodded as I watched the beautiful woman pose next to my best friend.
"You like her don't you?" Khlóe says out of nowhere "the way you look at her. The eyes never lie."
"I screwed up with her and now she will never forgive me."
"She will eventually just give her time. She's proud and spiteful but something tells me she cares about you."
"How do you know that?"
"She's making your life impossible?"
"A little" I replied.
"Then it means she cares about you and she's hurt so that's why she's acting like that"
"You know her very well"
"Of course, she's my sister"

After the photos were taken, khlóe thanked them both for participating in the campaign. Valentina stayed with her while Scarlett and I left.

I drove my best friend to the airport as her flight was leaving in an hour. It's sad that I won't see her for a while but that's how our world works.

When I got home I kept thinking about what khlóe said, maybe I need to give her time to calm down so we can talk. I wish this time would pass quickly because all I want is to be by her side.
