Lizzie's POV.
I was in the waiting room waiting for her for twenty minutes until I saw the door open and when she connected her eyes with mine she gave me a slight smile. That made my heart race and my stomach do a somersault.
"Hey how did it go?" I asked standing up from the couch and walking towards her.
"I hope it went well, I felt good while I was doing the monologue but you know how this works."
"Yes I do, but I also know you are very talented and I know you are going to get the part you want" I said confident of what I was saying.
"I hope you're right" she says winking at me.
"So what are we going to do now?" I asked, I was waiting for her to want to spend time with me as much as I want to spend time with her.
"I don't know, I don't have anything planned" she says and I sighed thinking that was all she would say but I was wrong "do you want to come over to my house?"
"Really? Which one of your houses?" I said excitedly.
"The one I'm living in right now"Oh my god finally she wants to let me know where she has been living all this time.
"Cool, come on then" I said and she smiled at me.
We started walking down the halls of the building and our hands brushed more than once, I wanted to take her hand and walk next to her feeling her warmth but I was too nervous to do that and I didn't want to make her uncomfortable.
We entered the elevator which was empty, we were alone in there, I could look at her out of the corner of my eye, She looked so relaxed, her hair fell down her shoulders, her breathing was slow and calm, she looked like she was thinking about something but didn't let any expression come out on her face to give me a clue of what she was probably thinking. And right there I felt it, her hand touching mine softly, my heart and breath quickened in seconds, I didn't dare to move, I opened my hand slightly and she intertwined her fingers with mine.
I turned to look at her face and she was already looking at me with her beautiful eyes, neither of us said anything, I think we were both too nervous to say anything and ruin the moment.
The elevator reached the first floor, we walked down the last hallway with our hands intertwined but when we reached the exit door she quickly let go of my hand and walked to her car, that hurt my feelings but I understand why she did it.
We got into the car and the silence between the two of us was overwhelming, I wanted to feel her close again, I wanted to feel her hand in mine Just like a few minutes ago, I don't want her away from me.
She started the car and played music from her phone, she was about to start driving when my thoughts came out of my mouth without permission.
"Can I hold your hand again?"
She turned to look at me and said nothing just nodded.I took her hand intertwining our fingers and put them in my lap. Her thumb occasionally caressed my knuckles making me melt into her caresses.
"your skin is so soft, I almost forgot" she says breaking our silence.
"I'm sorry."
"About what?" she says looking at me quickly then back to looking at the road.
"I'm sorry for everything, I'm sorry for hurting you" I say with heavy sadness.
"We don't need to talk about it" she says lightly squeezing my hand, that let me know that I'm still hurting her and that splits me in two.She didn't say anything else the rest of the way, when we got to her house I was shocked at how big it was, I mean she has always lived in extraordinarily big houses but this one is on another level, it's located in Malibu and it's a ridiculously big mansion for just one person to live here.
"Do you want to get a drink?" She says.
"No, I'm good."
"So what do you want to do?"
"I don't know, I just want to talk to you" I said nervous to be with her alone.
"Okay, let's talk then" she leads me into her living room.
