End Game

It's you

Lizzie's POV.

I woke up because of the sun coming into the room, when I opened my eyes I realized I wasn't at home I sat up quickly and saw that I was at Valentina's house but she was nowhere to be seen.

I heard noises in the kitchen so I went there. She was cooking something while dancing to the music which was slightly soft so as not to wake me up. I stood there watching her without making my presence known, I just wanted to admire her for a while.

Seeing her yesterday so fragile and in pain was something I couldn't bear to see, I just wanted to see her smile. I hadn't noticed but as I watched her do her little dance a smile came across my face.

"Oh god you scared me" Valentina says as she turned and saw me standing there.
"I'm sorry" I said walking towards her.
"Did you sleep well?" She asked
"Yes, your couch is very comfortable"
"I know right, I thought I would wake up with back pain but I didn't".
"Yeah, I thought the same thing" we both let out a giggle.
"I hope you're hungry I made scrambled eggs with bacon, I don't like to cook so I don't know if it's tasty" she said putting the food on the plates.
"I'm sure I'll like it"
She gave me a small smile with her lips and went to the dining room putting the plates on the table. She sat down and I did the same.

We started having breakfast, we talked about everything and anything that caught our attention which was interesting to know about how Valentina thinks about some things.

"So how are those bruises still going?" I said carefully.
She looked at her wrists and then at me.
"They are much better, one of my wrists is a little swollen from yesterday."
"Let me take care of that."
"You don't have to."
"I want to" I said leaving the dining room to go get the ointment.
I walked back to the room and she was there waiting for me.
"Here, give me your hands"
She did as I asked and I started applying the ointment gently so as not to hurt her.

I could feel her gaze on me examining every move I made. I applied the ointment to one of her wrists and then did the same with the other. She definitely had a swollen wrist so I put ice on it.

"There, we're done" I said with a smile.
"Thank you" she said softly trying to avoid eye contact.
"Of course."
"You need a ride to work? I can do that" she said quickly.
"Uh... I have my car outside and I have to stop by my house to take a shower and change my clothes" I said and I could see on her face what looked like disappointment.
"Oh... okay"
"Yeah, I think I should go now or I'll be late for work."
She didn't say anything just nodded and stood up from the chair walking me to the door.

She was leaning against the door looking at me, I don't know but something about the way she was looking at me made me feel nervous.

"Thank you for breakfast it was delicious" I said trying not to look nervous.
"It's good that you liked it, I'll see you on set."
I started walking to my car.
"Oh and Elizabeth"
I turned to look at her.
"What happened yesterday doesn't make us friends."
I let out a chuckle and got in my car started it up and started driving.

I know she is lying about the last thing she said. What happened yesterday made us bond somehow I can feel it. The way she looked at me this morning was different I don't know how to explain it.

My new goal is to make her understand that she doesn't have to put up walls with me, I want her to know that she can trust me, that I can be a good friend to her. I will make sure that is the case.

When I got to the set and walked into the makeup trailer and as usual she was sitting in her seat. I said hello to everyone and she didn't say anything but gave me a little smile and that's when I knew I was right about her not meaning what she said this morning.
The day went by pretty fast because when I heard the least, we were shooting the last scene of the day. When we finished I saw Valentina walking towards her trailer so I went after her. a few steps to her dressing room I decided to talk.

"Valentina hey... uh.... want to go get some ice cream?" I asked nervously.
"Sure" she says with a smile "let me bring my purse, can we also go in your car? It's just that I told my driver to bring me so I don't have my car here."
"Yes, of course"

When she was ready we got in my car. I really don't know much about the city so she told me where to drive to get to the best ice cream shop.

When we arrived she ordered herself a cotton candy ice cream, she recommended the pistachio ice cream so I ordered one. She was right this is the best ice cream I have tasted so far.

"I can't believe you've been here almost a month and you don't know anything about the city" she says putting a scoop of ice cream in her mouth.
"I just haven't found a good guide to show me around town."
"I can do that if you want" she says with an innocent face.
"I'd like that"
"Perfect, we can do it four days from now since it's Sunday and we don't have to work."
"That sounds like a plan to me" I said feeling happiness run through my whole body.

After eating our ice cream valentina decided it would be a good idea to walk for a while in the park in front of the ice cream shop.

We were walking and talking about different things until valentina saw dogs and cut the conversation short to tell me to see how cute the dog was. I think that's sweet to see her excitement when she sees a dog and how her voice changes when she talks to them is pretty cute.

We sat down on one of the benches in the park after walking for quite some time. I felt her head rest on my shoulder and that made my heart race in a second.

"Why are you being so nice to me after I've been shitty to you?" She says softly.
I hadn't really thought about it before, why do I always want to be around her and her approval? Why is it that whenever I'm around her my heart races?
"I don't know, I just..." as I thought about my answer there I realized, it all made sense, I have feelings for her "I just think I'm a good person" I said with a chuckle.
"Thank you and I'm sorry for being so shitty to you" she said giving me a kiss on the cheek.

There I was unable to move as if I was frozen by the act she had just done.

"Come on Elizabeth" valentina says walking.

I followed her as I tried to calm down and tried to get my blushes to go away. We walk for a while longer until we get tired.

I took her home and when I drove back to the main road my mind went back to that moment where she kissed me on the cheek and I felt my heart racing again. I definitely have feelings for her and I don't know if that is good or bad.

We continued to go out everyday after work to hang out together in fact I was surprised because most of the time she was the one who asked me out. We would spend the evening at her house watching movies or we would go to my house and I would try to teach her how to cook something which she would refuse but in the end she would end up joining me.

All these days have been really amazing by her side, it's like this happiness I feel only appears when I'm next to her. I am really enjoying spending time with her and I like getting to know her.

She is funny, you can have the silliest and at the same time most serious conversations possible with her and I like that. She listens carefully to everything you say to her and makes you feel special just by looking at you. The more time I spend with her the more my feelings grow.
