A cool breeze of air hit both me and Rhys whilst the door was pushed open, which followed on with a drunken excited squeal."Oh, family reunion yay!"
Azariah? I walked closer towards her. Looking at her mess of golden-brown highlights and black hair followed by her bloodshot eyes, it seemed as though crying had not been the only cause of the redness in her eyes. "You're drunk," Rhys grumbled from behind me.
"Yes, I'm drunk," Azariah murmured, her voice slightly slurring at the end whilst she rolled her eyes at Rhys. "And you shouldn't be judging me, Mr Emo." She stumbled in her shoes after that, knocking down some glassware as she almost tripped.
I sighed, she needed to sit down and have some rest. I grabbed her arm and dragged her to my sofa, putting a blanket over her body as she snuggled into the sofa. "You need to rest."
"Where is Iza?" She questioned, suddenly pushing the blanket off of her and standing up in a wobbly stance. Her eyes failed to pick up my trashed apartment and instead searched around for the cause of it.
"Not here," I answered, running a hand through my hair whilst I gave Rhys a look that yelled 'help me' yet he didn't do anything in response. "She won't ever be."
"Funny," Azariah mumbled with a chuckle, supporting herself with a nearby wall as she started to walk into the other rooms that remained undusted ever since I had moved in. "Is she hiding behind all these unpacked boxes?"
I continued following her as she continued to search through the rooms until she finally reached the end of the hall before turning to me. "Where is she?" She questioned again, her tone sounding more sadder than humourous.
My lips thinned, not saying a word as a voice behind me cleared his throat. "Not here," I finally managed to muster out, my voice thick with misery as I repeated my words.
Azariah's eyebrows drew down to a confused expression, airing a breathy chuckle as she smiled before it dropped down to a scowl. "You know you're a real dumbass, right?" She then pushed against my chest, her hand fisting as she continued. "What is wrong with you?"
Rhys then spoke up. "It's my fault," He admitted, his tone ,for once, sympathetic and upset. "I made him break up with her."
She then fully paused in her actions, and her hand fell down to her side as she only looked at both me and Rhys with an infuriating look. She may have been our little sister, yet she always managed to scare the living shit out of us. "You are both assholes, actually not that you're a bunch of dickhead bitches."
I shook my head, trying to explain, hoping she would understand my situation. "Have you not seen me? I couldn't let someone like me enter her life...so I let Rhys break us both, it was the better decision." I knew it would hurt her, but she'd get over it and find a better guy one day.
Azariah laughed heartily at my reply, I wasn't sure whether it was her or the alcohol, whilst she flicked her black hair. "Better decision?! Someone like you?! Honey, you are the best of both of us!" She screamed, pointing towards both her and Rhys with a frustrated expression.
She then turned to Rhys and pushed him to the wall, he didn't react to it at all as she pinned him to the wall. "And you. I warned you to not go near them, and now look at us- fucking look at Leo!"
He nodded his head in reply, a regretful look overtook his face as he spoke up. "I didn't realise it back then."
"Of course, you didn't," She laughed in a harsh manner. "Because all you do is think with your stone-cold heart!"
