Jungkook giggled as he shoved Jimin's shoulder.  It had been three months now since Jimin was hired as Jungkook's bodyguard.  A few incidents had happened in that time, but none quite as bad as that first one.  Jungkook had continually been impressed with how Jimin handled each situation and how protected he felt in his presence.  It was almost shocking to him that when he'd first met Jimin, he believed he wasn't the right fit for the job.  Now Jungkook couldn't imagine any other person standing by his side.

Unfortunately, he meant that in absolutely every way.  Not only could he not imagine having any other bodyguard, but he also couldn't imagine loving anyone like he loved Jimin.  That made everything harder for him most days.  Jimin was his bodyguard.  It was his job to protect and take care of Jungkook.  He knew Jimin was obligated to him, but it didn't stop Jungkook from wishing Jimin saw him as more than a client.

Jimin, on the other hand, was suffering immensely trying to not see Jungkook in a romantic light.  He'd tried so hard to not fall for Jungkook's charms, but he'd failed over and over again.  His attraction had turned to love so fast that Jimin felt like he had whiplash.

"Why are you looking at me like that instead of watching the movie?" Jungkook asked, his pink cheeks evident even in the low light of his living room.

"You're more entertaining than this movie," Jimin flirted, leaning a little closer to Jungkook and burying his face in his neck.

Jungkook closed his eyes and unconsciously nuzzled Jimin back, the atmosphere around them turning hot.  Jimin lifted his gaze up to meet Jungkook's and he couldn't stop himself as his fingers caressed Jungkook's cheek.

Jimin's plump lips parted as he inched closer and closer.  Jungkook's eyes widened before fluttering closed.

Then Jimin came to his senses and backed away, clearing his throat.  "I'll-I'll go get us something to drink.  Are you thirsty?"

Jungkook gulped as he opened his eyes wide in surprise, but nodded.  "Um...yeah.  Sure.  Can you get me a beer?"

Jimin nodded and sprinted to the kitchen.  Gripping at his chest, he worked to level out his breathing.

"Get a grip, Jimin.  You almost kissed him!  You can't do that!  You're his bodyguard, not his boyfriend.  He hired you, he doesn't want you," he mumbled to himself, running a hand through his new mullet-style haircut.  Jungkook had insisted he try the style and Jimin's chest clenched at how even his own hair reminded him of his unrequited love.

"Jimin?  Are you okay?" Jungkook asked hesitantly as he made his way into the kitchen and to Jimin's side.

"I-yeah.  I'm fine.  Just getting the drinks," Jimin stuttered out.

Jungkook wrestled with himself for a moment before acting on impulse.  He gripped the back of Jimin's neck and pulled him into him.  Without giving himself time to think about what he was doing, he pressed his lips into Jimin's and nearly moaned at how soft they were and how they still tasted like lemons from the cake they'd eaten.

He heard Jimin's little squeak of surprise, then felt his arms wrap around his waist.  Feeling encouraged by that, Jungkook flicked his tongue across Jimin's lips, prodding them open and darting his tongue across Jimin's.  In response, Jimin clenched his hands at his waist tighter and groaned.

As their kiss died down, they parted with their forehead still pressed together, breathing in each other's light pants.  That's when the reality of what Jungkook had done really hit him and he felt impossibly embarrassed.  He knew Jimin didn't like him like that.  He knew it was unfair because he was his bodyguard.  He was his employee.  Jungkook convinced himself in a single moment that their kiss had meant nothing to Jimin and he had only done it because he felt pressured to since Jungkook was essentially his boss.

"I'm-I'm so sorry!  I shouldn't have done that," Jungkook admitted, flushing from his neck up with humiliation.

"Jungkook?" Jimin began, looking like a beautiful mess with his hair askew, cheeks pink, eyes hooded, and plump lips swollen and glistening.

"Yeah?"

"I don't want to hear your apologies," Jimin continued.

Jungkook dropped his head and nodded, on the verge of tears.  "Okay.  I'm sor-"

Jimin put two fingers over his lips, silencing him.  "What did I just say?  Don't apologize.  There's nothing to apologize for.  I've been wanting to kiss you for months.  And I'm going to do it again."

Before Jungkook could even express his surprise, Jimin's lips were on his again.  Everything was suddenly so much more desperate, as if the frantic pawing of their hands and nips of their teeth could say everything they'd been holding inside since the day they'd met.

This time when they parted, instead of panic, there was only beaming love.

"Well, I guess you turned out to be a pretty good bodyguard after all," Jungkook joked.

Jimin snorted.  "Yeah?  Want me to do more than guard your body?" He winked.

Jungkook blushed and shoved his shoulder gently.  "Shut up.  Just hold me?"

"For as long as you let me," Jimin assured him.  "I'll guard you til the end of time if I have my way."

"That was really cheesy," Jungkook laughed.

"Maybe so, Jungkookie.  Maybe so."
