Distraction

How could he say no when Jimin was asking him not to go?  He had to, but how could he tell him that he was just a distraction?  Jimin was working so hard and he needed to focus, but Jungkook missed his husband.  He wanted to support him, but here Jimin was, not practicing and spending time talking to him instead.

"I'm fine, but the dancers might be tired," Jimin said as he stood from sitting next to Jungkook, a smirk on his face.  Always so clever about how he would shirk his responsibilities to spend time with Jungkook instead.  Always a way to hide how tired he actually was.

"No, show me," Jungkook insisted.  He couldn't let himself distract Jimin from something he'd worked so hard for.

Jimin finally agreed and ran through his choreography one more time, if for no other reason than to keep JK there for a little while longer.  He knew Jimin could feel his energy as he prepared to leave the set to give his husband some more practice time.

"Now is not the time to rest at home," Jimin teased with a knowing smirk.

"I have to go work out," Jungkook replied, hiding his own smirk from the camera.  He wanted nothing more than to scoop the smaller man into his arms and fall into their shared bed, cuddling him until they had no choice but to move.

Instead, he bid farewell to Jimin with a promise that he would come to see him again.  Throughout his whole workout and the entirety of his time waiting on Jimin to return home, Jungkook couldn't help but wonder if maybe he should have stayed at Jimin's practice...or if he shouldn't have gone at all.

"Baby?  Are you awake?"

Jungkook's heart leaped in his chest as the door to their apartment creaked open.  He jumped from the couch, startling a sleeping Bam in the process, to make a mad dash to the door.  He let himself do what he'd wanted to all day and tugged Jimin tightly into his arms, lifting his feet from the ground.  Jimin let out a surprised yelp and laughed.

"Did you miss me?  You saw me earlier and you could have stayed."

Jungkook shook his head against Jimin's collarbone.  "Any time I stay I just keep you from doing what you're supposed to do.  And I can't be affectionate to you like I want to, anyway.  There were too many unknown faces and too many cameras.  It's different than when you're in the studio.  Even though I saw you, I still missed you.  I didn't want to distract you though."

Jimin giggled and kissed Jungkook's hair, running his fingers through the unruly mop of curls his husband had let go unrestrained.  "You're never a distraction, my baby."

"You know that's not true.  I can't be around because every time I am, you stop everything to talk to me," Jungkook argued.

"Fine, fine.  I guess you're right.  I just love having you near me is all," Jimin conceded softly.

"And I always want to be near you.  I missed you, Jiminie."

Jungkook sniffed back his tears, refusing to admit how hard it had been for him lately to watch Jimin from afar.  For him to fly to the US by himself and work constantly on his album while Jungkook remained behind.  He didn't want to confess to Jimin that he'd felt so lonely without him and how desperately he'd had to work to convince himself not to fly to wherever Jimin was at each moment just to catch a glimpse of his smile.

He knew Jimin knew, though.  Jimin always knew and he could tell that now was no exception by the way his husband's hold tightened on him.  He could tell by the way Jimin shushed him softly and petted his hair.  He could tell by the sweet little kisses Jimin planted all across his pink dusted cheeks.  What would Jungkook ever do without this man?

He didn't know.  All he knew was that he never wanted to find out.

"I love you, Jimin," he whispered against the dark locks growing longer, grazing the back of Jimin's neck and tickling his nose.

"I love you too, Jungkookie.  Now come to bed with me.  I'll let you distract me," Jimin taunted with a wink, voice turning sultry.

Jungkook smirked up at his lover, "I can definitely distract you there."
