See You in Paris

Jungkook had met Jimin every year beneath the Eiffel Tower at the same time on the same day.  August 31st.  The day before his birthday, and they would spend two months until October 31st, after Jimin's birthday, together in Paris.  It had been this way since they had met each other in Paris during their high school days.  A foreign exchange program had landed the only two Korean boys in the same group.

Being from Korea wasn't the only thing they had in common, they discovered while attending that program.  They were also both from Busan, South Korea and both had a love of the arts.  Jimin wanted to become a dancer and had joined the foreign exchange program to Paris to study dance at the Paris Opera Ballet School in the hopes that it would help him one day get into Juilliard in New York.  Jungkook had less focus.  He wanted to study painting and drawing, but he was also drawn to music, singing, and dance.  All he knew, was that he wanted to create something beautiful, and Paris was the place to do that in his young mind.

Now, five years later, Jimin had gotten in Juilliard and was now at the end of his dance studies.  Jungkook had found he had no need to focus and had become a jack of all trades, landing acting roles, singing in famous arenas, and even landing one of his more challenging pieces of artwork in the Louvre during his annual Paris trips.  With all their accomplishments and all their years getting to know each other, Jungkook found himself wanting more.

But the 1920's weren't the most homosexual friendly of times, and their home country of Korea was far from open minded.  However, it didn't stop Jungkook from desperately wanting the one thing from Jimin he'd never gotten.

The night of his birthday, they laid naked and sweat dewed in their Paris hotel room, wrapped in each other's arms and legs intertwined.  Jungkook kissed the top of Jimin's newly blonde hair and breathed in his warm strawberry and honey scent.

"Jimin, I think we should get married," he blurted out, almost out of habit as he'd said it so much in his head over the last year.

His lover froze in his arms before bursting out in laughter.  "Are you serious?  Jungkook, it's not even legal!  We literally can't get married.  Plus, how would we ever explain this," Jimin gestured between them as he sat up, "to our families...our friends...our colleagues?"

"It's not so crazy.  And we could just have the ceremony and live together.  It doesn't need to be on a piece of paper to prove that I am in love with you and have been since we were 17 years old!" Jungkook defended.

"My mother already thinks I'm gay because I dance and haven't really dated girls before, what would she say if I proved her right?  What would she say if I showed up with you?" Jimin fretted, eyes welling with tears.

"Jimin," Jungkook began softly, chuckling as he wrapped Jimin into his arms and slowly pulled him against his chest as he quietly sobbed.  "You are gay.  You just had my dick in you.  That's pretty gay.  You can't hide who you are forever.  That would be a miserable way to live."

Jimin feigned being offended, slapping Jungkook across the chest, but the smile his plump lips fought against was enough to tell Jungkook he'd succeeded in cheering him up a bit.  "Don't be crass."

"Right.  Sorry," Jungkook pouted, then grinned mischievously, "Why be crass when I could be in that ass?"

Jimin giggled and pretended to fight Jungkook off.  His efforts were half-hearted though and he quickly allowed himself to be flipped onto his back.  He exposed his true intent by weaving his fingers together at the back of Jungkook's neck and dragging him down for a deep, sensual kiss.

"You never answered me," Jungkook pressed as he nuzzled Jimin's neck.

"It's a dumb idea.  If we go public, we risk more than you've probably thought about.  We lose everything.  We lose our reputations.  Our careers.  Everything we've worked for," Jimin gulped as he squeezed Jungkook to him a little tighter.  "We could even lose our lives.  People aren't kind to guys like us, Jungkookie.  Bigger men than me have been beaten and violated in the streets in broad daylight and no one has said a word or done anything to stop them.  How am I supposed to protect myself?"
